When I'm exporting a gallery i'm also getting a "php" file for every image I have in the gallery is this normal or have i missed a check box somewhere?
Offline
normal, as long as you're using a gallery feature that exports the page as php, then the single image pages get exported as php as well.
If you're not using any features that trigger php, then you'd get single html files.

Ok thanks Rod, just moved over to CE4 Gallery and it wasn't like that in CE3??

there were no single php or single html pages in CE3 Gallery. But enabling certain features would trigger the index.php output rather than index.html.

SEO and social media optimization. I think Matt talks about it in the blog somewhere

The single-image pages are used as permalink targets, and when sharing images to social networks (most which don't allow you to cherrypick an image from a page of images; an image needs a page all its own, else you're just sharing the gallery, not the specific image). Optionally, you can also use the single-image pages as your primary presentation method, which gives you the strongest SEO of all presentations.
