more information please.
What have you set for Administration in the Integration tab of Create/Edit Album?
If you have it set to Managed by CRG Admin you'll always get the log in screen
Have you assigned the album to a client in the CRG admin?
Are you even using the CRG admin to manage clients?
Be sure to read this article that Matt and Ben just put together:

By default, the albums do not show the text contained in the template. Go to the Page Content tab in the Create/Edit Album dialog box. You'll see the options for including template text.

Not sure what your asking. Gallery settings are mainly controlled by the template. Other settings are controlled/chosen when you create the album.

When creating or editing your album, under the Integration tab, if you have set Client Management: Managed by CRG Admin, then the gallery will always require a client login. You will need to have first created a client account via the CRG Admin console, and have assigned one or more galleries to the client.
