Is there a possibility to make the Homepage with a full screen slide show like on this website

Would then like Full Screen Flip with navigation bar or the Galleria Slideshow only fullscreen.
A selection of the overlay pattern (fine gain and chunky pixels) like in the Full Screen Flip woud be nice.

Not with Pages (Terry's home page is not TTG based). Your choice is the full screen flip gallery as is or a Galleria slide show. You can make Galleria pretty big but it won't be full screen initially. The user could click on an icon to make it full screen though.
I suppose another option would be a WordPress site using a full screen page like that for the home page.

WordPress is a good idea.
Is the TTG CE4 Theme for WordPress suitable for this. Or isn't it possible to set full screen slide show as background on the Start screen there?

Theme for Wordpress will make it so your WordPress pages will have same design as your galleries and other TTG pages.
As for the initial full screen slide show, there is more than likely a WordPress plug-in that will do what you want.
