I just installed the recent updates(Pages, Gallery, ttb-be and I think I did them correctly since my site is still working.
Where are the general instructions located for installing updates to the various modules. It has been a while since the last updates and want to make sure I didn't have a "senior moment". My site is working great and want to keep it that way.
Thanks
Jim

web module installation is the first link on the docs page: http://ce4.theturninggate.net/docs/doku.php
ttg-be: links to installation and upgrades are on the same page: http://ce4.theturninggate.net/docs/doku.php#ttg_be

Thanks, I found those before. I understand how to updating on my computer and lightroom with the updates but should I also upload the contents of Pages and Gallery to my website as well and overwrite those ?
I understand that I need to it for TTG-be and then only the Admin and Frame work folders and then log into admin

Ok great, that is what I did. Why wouldn't you updated the files on the website?
Thanks again

I was afraid of this which is why I was asking those questions. It worked initially. My site now crashed.
What do you think?
I can restore to pre-update from my web host backup

if everything was working the way you want it and you felt you didn't need any of the improvements or fixes.
that being said, if you update a gallery and it uses shared resources with Pages, then you need to update Pages too.

Thanks for your help yesterday. I made a dumb mistake yesterday while updating and finally figured it out and got it corrected.
I really like TG plugins for Lightroom and my site that I built from it but the updates in many ways provide more of a challenge than the original construction. I really enjoyed figuring out the original installation and got a lot of satisfaction from it. That said though, when you get away from the details of the procedures after a month or two it is easy to make a mistakes that bring down the whole site. Being 76 years old does not help.
What would be helpful, at least to someone at my level, would be separate document instructions relating to updates and the type of updates in general. I finally found the information but I had to go through a lot of docs to refresh myself with the original installation procedure. I was also fortunate to be using a web hosting service that does backups of my site and I was able to restore those files affected by update mistake.
