I have two websites that I have which used CE3, www.villabegur.com and www.peterblandford.com
I am very happy with the sites as they are but was wandering what the benefits would be to upgrading to CE4. I have looked through this site but can't find the answer to the "why upgrade?" question.

In general, everything is just better.
Better gallery presentations, more responsive design, improved site navigation, new social media features, better SEO, better content control using Publisher, support for image search and breadcrumbs, a vastly improved Cart, and more ...

I still haven't got around to upgrading, could I ask a couple of questions?
Will I be able to easily upgrade my current galleries?
Is there any way to organize galleries, maybe by year? I have had to remove old galleries as I had too many and it was hard to find the latest ones.
Is there an upgrade path to people who bought CE3?
Thank you!

see this, it should answer most your questions

That document is a little old. CE4 Gallery now supports Masonry and iconic layouts.
Cart migration is now super easy. You don't need to re-create your products and pricing schemes. There's a link in the ttg-be Cart admin area to migrate CE3 Cart settings over to CE4 Cart. It works great.
on organizing by year, that's up to how you organize your galleries. But yes, there's no reason you couldn't do this. It would be much easier with Publisher, that way you could create new yearly Album sets on the fly and then just drag published albums into the new set.
but it you're asking if there's a TTG automated way to do this, then no, there isn't. However, in Lightroom, you can create Smart Albums in Publisher Services. Smart Albums are just like Smart Collections. This would be one way to at least create albums by year. You'd still need to create the Albums Sets on your own. Easy to do.
