I have a test gallery up with a gallery template that should allow for a 3000 px photo for download. I use this type of gallery for editorial and magazine work that editors download. The file is inside the test folder but there is no download button that I can see.

How might I enable a download button? On the CE3 gallery there was a little download button on the lower right corner of the thumbnail but I don't see any option for this in the gallery.
Thanks for your help
Kristen

HI Kristen,
check the large image view. That's where the download link should be

Thanks Rod,
Still nothing happens .. yes, I used to have that little cloud with down arrow in CE3 and that is what I'm hoping to have. I clicked the image download as you suggested, I have the output settings cllicked on publish downloadable image renditions with my 3000px selected .. but in my new test gallery I still have no cloud with an arrow.

does it possibly have anything to do with it being an html gallery? .. I can't remember what Matthew said wouldn't work the same with html pages. ..

I'm not seeing the download icon appear in your template either. Have you double checked the gallery used for that template?

Hi Rod,
Yes, I just added that to the template I'm using .. maybe I'll create a new template and see if perhaps its now just a cache issue... a few moments and I'll be back ..

Actually, I'm seeing it now. Though you have the broken web-fonts issue happening in Firefox

Got it!
I had to just change the name of the download file to match the one that the large files were being put into and now I see the cloud ..

Hi Kristen and Rod
Kristen, very nice site, I love.
When I access the site I have a global problem with icons whitch appear like this
Instead of graphic symbols, appears a code: FO XN
Is it due to Firefox or somewhere in Kristen's site?
Must be in my side, this problem appears and disapears without I can understand why.
best regards
Fredy

Those are the broken web fonts. It seems to happen in Firefox and IE only. Except in IE the icons are simply not there!

Thanks Fredy! Glad you like the site!
And I get those broken web fonts when I test on firefox as well. I don't have the ability to check with IE as I have macs.
That said .. Rod, is there anything I can do to remedy the broken web fonts from my end? .. if someone uses IE and the icons aren't there, are they unable to make a purchase (I'm assuming the cart symbol would be vacant).
Thanks!

yay!
wow, you've been busy updating. I need to get my butt in gear and redesign my site (coming up with the design is the bottleneck). Working on a new WordPress-based workshops site now but I really want to redesign my main site too.

Yes, the design is a major bottleneck. I just stuck with the basic and simple white. My biggest issue is always wording my galleries and organizing them. It's tough and always evolving!
That said, I hope to work on an overhaul of simplifying the non picture portions of my site as well. I feel those areas are too wordy and while I might understand it, I think too much information tends to either bore or overwhelm others. Seeing a ton of print (unless its an article) on a website page is less effective than an effectively written simple paragraph or two.
On another note, I am heading out (driving) to Washington state to see my sister and to photograph enroute, around, and on the way back. It would be awesome to meet you for coffee or lunch if you are around. I know I will be with my sister from next Thursday through the following Wed (27th). and my schedule is not firm ..
