Working on updating my website at http://www.davidollilaphoto.com to CE4 and have a couple of issues:
The Gallery Auto Index will not show the title area, even before uploading, in LR5.6 the Iconic "Fade" in the image area. I am able to do this using CE4 Auto Index on the 'Buy Prints" page both in LR and after uploading works great on my site. I have matched all settings for both and still can not get the Iconic Fade to work in the Pages Gallery. Have downloaded and reinstalled CE4 Pages and still does not work Am I missing something?
The other issue is with "permalinks" When clicking on the icon in Lightroom it seems to work fine. but on my website it brings up ("status": "error", "message": "the photo could not be found")
Any clues to what I am doing wrong?
Thanks as always...

Hey David!
Greeting from Port Ludlow
You may have found a bug, I'm seeing the same issue between CE4 Autoindex (working as expected) and the Galleries page in CE4 Pages.

Greetings from Belfair Rod. Always like your insights and expertise on the many topics and issues in the forums. Hopefully someone can help solve my two issues.

I'm sure Matt will see this before long. Others have been having permalink problems too. Must be a host/server issue because they work fine for most people.

Independent of the permalink issue, the link in your navigation menu for 'buy-prints' should be preceded with a '/'. So use '/print-shop' instead of 'print-shop'.
I like the design of your site!

Hi David,
This will require a fix on my end, which I will include in the next update. In the meantime, please switch off the overlaid titles.
The site is looking fantastic, by the way. Please let me know when finished, as I'd love to add it to our showcase.

Thanks Matt. I patiently await a fix for the "Iconic Fade". Any clue as to why the "permalinks" returns the error message? Rod mentioned it might be a host/server issue. I have been using BlueHost for the last couple of years. Should I talk to them or? As I said it works fine in Lightroom just not on my website.
Thanks again.

Thanks Rod.
Is there something I need to do or enable on my website to get the"permalinks" icon to work or should it work "automatically"?

Daniel,
I added the "/" to the links on all. Now all are "/print-shop" All seems to work just the same. I guess I just don't know what it does or doesn't do wit or without the"/" Would love a short explanation.
Thanks.

without the /, then the link would try to go to the print-shop folder that is at the same level as the page from which it's being click.
So if you were in a gallery named, say, "landscapes", the link would go to landscapes/print-shop. And print-shop doesn't live there.
What the / does is to tell the browser to look for the print-shop folder in the root of the site. The / takes you back to the root first.

As far as I know, it should just work.

The single page is looking for an image with file ending in .jpg. Your filenames end in .JPG. Perhaps you changed the Publisher filename settings Extensions setting to Uppercase. If so, change it back.

Thanks Matt! That did the trick. Something so stupid on my part. I love what you've done with the latest CE4 plugins. Using Stage and Publisher for my opening home page is going to make life a whole lot easier. Now moving forward with Cart.
Thanks again,
David
