Solved -- Highslide relies on mobble plugin to work in post gallery

For a reason I didn't find out yet highslide does not work in an in-post-gallery.

In LR I selected "Presentation : Desktop = Highslide slideshow" in the Post Gellery Setup section and also agreed to the license. In the preview area the highslide lightbox appears when I click on on of the thumbnails.

After uploading i went to the advanced settings tab of the theme options and activated lightbox support an selected Highslide JS for Desktop Browsers and magnific for mobile browsers.
I left Galleria support unchecked.

In the post gallery I tried both "link" and "attachment page"

When I click on oneof the thumbnails in the gallery, the large picture appears on a separate page.

You can find an example here:

Ideas welcome,
but first best wishes for a fine weekend,
Michael

There's a Javascript error on the page, breaking your script. Looks like it's being thrown by a recaptcha plugin that you've enabled.

Hmm, I have tried different combinations of plugins and ended up with everything deactivated right now.
Still no Highslide in in-post galleries.

I leave my plugins turned off for a while, perhaps You can circle the error in?

Thanks, Michael

Your theme name has a space in it. This might be messing things up. Try removing it. You'll probably need to export again and upload as a new theme.

Highslide doesn't even exist on the page. Did you even save your Theme Settings? There's a Save button on the page. You need to press it.

Re: Solved -- Highslide relies on mobble plugin to work in post gallery

Well. Yes.

http://www.michilge.de/extfiles/screen-1.jpg

I switched back to WP's default theme,
removed the CE4 theme Directory,
renamed die Template in LR to a name without spaces,
made sure highslide is checked in my Post Gallery Setup,
exported to a new directory without spaces,
uploaded that to /wp-content/themes/,
made sure that highslide.js is in /lib/js/ within the theme directory,
adjusted and saved the settings,
deactivated all plugins again

and still don't find highslide on my page

In firebug I really can't find a trace of it in the browser.

I'm going to start over once again.

Re: Solved -- Highslide relies on mobble plugin to work in post gallery

I even created a new theme from scratch.

Switched to one of LRs html templates, chose CE 4 Theme for Wordpress from the list of layouts, left everything at default apart from highslide presentation for post galleries, saved a new template, exported, uploaded, changed theme options, saved and no highslide in my page.

Output of my phpinfo() is here

Matt, I'm seeing the same issue. I've posted a test Highslide gallery on my Tips site here: http://ttg-tips-and-tricks.barbeephoto. … lery-test/

Did you install and enable the Mobble Wordpress plugin?

You mean the one mentioned in the documentation ? (that I just now looked at)

It is now.

And now it's working.

Sometimes it pays to RTFM  :-O

Re: Solved -- Highslide relies on mobble plugin to work in post gallery

Me too.
Having Single Post Template and Subheading activated since CE3 I simply went over the plugin chapter and so missed the information that CE4 relies on mobble.

Sorry for taking Your time.
I changed the topic of this thread to help spread the info.

Thanks and fine sunday,
Michael
