I received Matt's e-mail regarding the Gallery 6.0.2 update.
I went to my order, and downloaded the 602 version.
I extracted it to the Lightroom Web Galleries folder (after deleting the old version)
When I start Lightroom and select CE4 Gallery, it is still showing 6.0.0
Am I doing something wrong?

Did you ever double-click the older version to install it? If so, it might have gotten moved to someplace where it shouldn't be. Search your system for files beginning "CE4-" and remove any errant copies.
The 6.0.2 version should be installed into the Web Galleries folder, as described in our documentation.

Turns out I had a "CE4-Gallery-lrwebengine.old" folder in the Web Galleries folder, along with "CE4-Galleries.lrwebengine". When I deleted the .old folder, Lightroom recognized the 6.0.2 version in "CE4-Galleries.lrwebengine".

That'll do it. Any old versions need to be moved out of the Web Galleries folder. You can keep them, but just keep them someplace else. Every plugin has a unique ID, so when Lightroom has two plugins with the same ID, they conflict.

I will remove my *old.lrwebengine immediately.
