I have set up a second instance on publisher to place new images in another gallery folder with a new nav heading of Recent Work. On this page I would like a slideshow like the galleria one on my home page, but which can be added to directly from LR at the same time as adding to the normal galleries. I only seem to be able to use photoswipe or the highslide which takes you in to full screensloideshow. Is this possible or do I have to upload to WP and then to a slideshow created page through WP? Or am I missing something?
Cheers

Use CE3 Stage. It supports Galleria slideshow managed by Publisher.

Thanks Mat,
Got it. Looks like it does a few more things for me to get confused about.

I had the stage thing working yesterday but now it dosen't!!!! Is there a link to any instructions for adding a second instance with publisher. I presume thats what I need ( and did do for it to work) as a seperate gallery to my main galleries. Starting all over again!

"... not work ..." doesn't tell us much. A link would help. If your captions contain quotation marks or line-breaks, that would do it.

Hi Mat,
I have taken all the stage related things back off the site and would like to start again with it. I managed to make it work yesterday but then I tried to put the side nav menu using the code in the tutorial and things whent wrong. In the document for publisher it mentions second instances for publisher to be discussed somewhere else but I can not find the somewhere else. What I need to know is..
do i need a second galleries folder to run along side the original galleries folder.
do I need a second instance of publisher to publish to a "new images" page with a galleria slide show accessable from the nav bar.
this would be directed to the galleries2 folder.
do I create auto index and templates
on the server path in LR do I need to direct it to the galleries2 folder for the stage page or does that stay the same as all the other pages as just galleries.
thanks

Can you describe what went wrong? What did you see? When things go wrong with phplugins it's usually a syntax error: a missing } or ; or something.

If you're creating a second instance of publisher, then yes (though it could be inside the /galleries/ folder too). This can either be an empty folder or an autoindex.
But if you just need a direct link to a "recent works" gallery, you could publish it in your main galleries folder and just provide a link to it in your navigation. It would then appear on your main Galleries page as well. If you don't want it to appear, then after publication, delete the autoindex.xml file within the album. Just an idea.

If you intend on creating an area outside your main /galleries/ folder, then yes. Keep in mind, the published gallery will need to be be published to this folder. for example. if you name the new folder your publishing to "new-images", then the published gallery (let's call it "new-work") would be inside of this folder. like this: /new-images/new-work/.
So the link in the navigation would need to be /new-images/new-work/
In the document for publisher it mentions second instances for publisher to be discussed somewhere else but I can not find the somewhere else.
Create a second instance just like you created the first. Only use a different folder for "Top-level Galleries Folder".
This folder can be anywhere. Alongside or inside your main /galleries/ folder. If it's inside the main /galleries/ folder, the use 'galleries/new-images' as the top-level galleries folder (without the quotes, of course)
do I create auto index and templates
You'll definitely need a Stage template for your Galleria show. If I understand what you want to do (just have a single album to display new images), then you don't need an autoindex for this.

Leave it the same. That server path is what directs any page using it to the global phplugins file

Thank you very much for your detailed reply.
"I managed to make it work yesterday but then I tried to put the side nav menu using the code in the tutorial and things whent wrong."
I had a slideshow working as I wanted. I then tried to change the navigation to the side one using the custom code. I made a back up of the css folder and the php folder first. When copied the code I got the side menu on all my wordpress pages, home, about, shop, but on the gallery pages it was the original nav menu and the cart one was a mess? So i replaced with the back up files but the side nav was still there. I cleared all my cache and it was still there. then on the stage slide show it kept say an image was unable to be found and the slide show would not work? I then went through every photo file through all the site and deleated anything I could find. Re did all my galleries and templates etc. after that the whole site disapeared and I couldn't even log on to wordpress. so i've now deleated the lot on blue host and am now starting again.
The way you described is how I did it so I don't understand what went wrong.

since the navigation appeared on your wordpress, home, etc, but not on your new gallerie/stage page, then that sounds like an incorrect server path.
You need the same server path in every gallery you export, including Publisher and Cart template galleries.

which way and for what? phplugins or the options for setting up your new-work gallery?
