I have LR collections with mixed pictures and videos that I want to show on web. I downloaded the 2014 HTML Gallery and found videos are not shown but only a picture of the starting frame. Have I done something wrong? Can I buy some more modules from TTG to make it work?

The 2014 HTML Gallery does not support video, nor does the Web module support video export of any kind.
CE3 Stage allows you to create video pages, but you will still need to source the video externally (upload video files to your site, or to YouTube or Vimeo). See documentation for details.

Thanks for a quick answer. I was looking for a solution where I use my own web hotel so that is not a problem. Currently I use Picasa, which is transforming into Google+ to store my large (17 000 mostly pics but some videos) gallery, but I am looking for a solution where I have more conrol. I had a quick look at the documentation and i got the impression that maybe CE3 would require too much manual work to maintain such a large set of pictures?

If you use CE3 Gallery (as opposed to the 2014 HTML Gallery) then you would also be able to use Publisher. Once you have it set up, it's just a matter of creating new albums in Lightroom and pushing a button to publish.

Parema,
Here's what it looks like to manage galleries using our publisher:

You can decide for yourself what constitutes "too much manual work", but I think we make it pretty easy to maintain things.
