Problems with similar background

Guys,
Being new on TTG CE3 I started with much enthusiasm to make a site with Pages and Galleries. I have come pretty far, for a 61 years old amateur, thanks to excellent documentation on your side!
However, I  do not succeed in creating the same page background in Pages and Galleries. I did all I could understand in custom.css, enabling this, adapt phplugins.php, mark "Get shared resources", without the wanted result.
What happens is: I can see my background image when I enter my site, but when I switch over to the Galleries-tab, and then enter a Gallery, the background changes in the red color I put in it in, creating my Gallery-template (red, just to recognize where it came from).
I hope I made clear enough what I'm dealing with. Feel free to visit www.humarts.nl to see what I mean.
Any suggestions?
Huub Martens,
Helmond, Holland.

Re: Problems with similar background

When looking at the gallery, I don't see custom.css being used. Did you active phplugins when you created the gallery template?

Re: Problems with similar background

Hi Daniel,
Thanks for the quick answer!
I deleted two lines in the phplugins-file to activate custom.css. I wonder how you can see this,by just looking at my site, but that's probably because I'm too new at this.

Re: Problems with similar background

But did you also enable phplugins in the TTG CE3 Gallery plug-in?

Be sure to do that and to enter the server path to your main phplugins file
you can find the server path by going to this url: http://www.humarts.nl/phplugins/path.php

Re: Problems with similar background

Hi Huub,

I just looked at the generated code and didn't find the standard /phplugins/css/custom.css stylesheet definition:

    <link rel="stylesheet" href="/phplugins/css/custom.css" />

But when you say you disabled it, then it shouldn't be visible on the home page either. Do you have two phplugins directories? The concept behind phplugins and custom.css is to have one unique configuration location that is used by all modules.

Re: Problems with similar background

@ Rod: I did that in the Galleries-module in LR: checked "Enable PHPlugins" and directing to http://www.humarts.nl/phplugins
Seems correct to me. Or ...?

@ Daniel: Do you mean I have to delete the PHPlugin-fodloders in my Galleries-folders (3, at the time)?
Where do I put the line <link rel="stylesheet" href="/phplugins/css/custom.css" />

Thanks guys, for your help, gives me a bit more energy not to give up!

No, you need a server path, not a URL. Your server path can be found here: http://www.humarts.nl/phplugins/path.php

and is:

/public/sites/www.humarts.nl/phplugins

You don't need to delete the phplugins file generated by Gallery. Since you're referencing the one you've already established with your Pages upload (that's what that server path will do)

Where do I put the line <link rel="stylesheet" href="/phplugins/css/custom.css" />

that's already in the phplugins file located here: /phplugins/phplugins.php, which you're already using. So you don't need to do anything.

Re: Problems with similar background

Hi Rod,
Well, what do you know: the problem seemed to be that I do not know/realize the difference between a server path and a URL.
I changed my input within Galleries in "/public/sites/www.humarts.nl/phplugins" and the trick was done! From now on all my exported galleries will no longer give me this problem.
Thank you very, very much for your help, I really appreciate it! smile
Best regards,
Huub Martens.
