Metadata in albumtemplate

Hi,

Whatever I fill in after activating the metadata one (or two) in the metadata display in the thumbnailgrid... I get nothing at the displayed image...

Anyone any help?

Donald

Re: Metadata in albumtemplate

You need to republish the album after making any changes to metadata.
If using Lightroom to publish, you can edit the Publisher Settings and check the “Push metadata without operating existing pictures” checkbox.

Re: Metadata in albumtemplate

did so. nothing displayed. I entered: {IfKeyword=verh 3:2;Available as 3:2|IfKeyword=verh 1:1;Available as 1:1|IfKeyword=verh 4:3;Available as 4:3|IfKeyword=verh 16:9;Available as 16:9} and does nothing
But YYYY does nothing too

Re: Metadata in albumtemplate

you have those keywords in the image metadata I assume?

Are you using Lightroom Publisher to upload or Backlight Publisher?

Re: Metadata in albumtemplate

Lightroom and the keywords are in there. Example: an image has a ratio of 16:1 then it has a keyword "verh 16:1". Goal is to let Backlight project this when the keyword is there. But also: where should it appear? Can I control that space?

Re: Metadata in albumtemplate

I was just able to use your token in my test site without a problem. I added the appropriate keywords to selected images and published an album.
The proper text is appearing in both thumbnail metadata and large image metadata.

Re: Metadata in albumtemplate

So I clearly do something wrong. Is there anything I have to do in the album besides in the template? Where should I see it appear?

Re: Metadata in albumtemplate

You should only need to choose the proper album template.
Here's the test album I just published: https://backlight-2-100.barbeephoto.com … oken-test/
I put the token in the thumbnail's Metadata 2 field and the Caption field for the large image.

Re: Metadata in albumtemplate

Yes, the captionfield works, that is no problem. But I do not want it in the captionfield. I want Backlight to get my keyword....

Re: Metadata in albumtemplate

The Caption field for large images is just the name Matt gave the field in the template, it is not the caption metadata field.

Re: Metadata in albumtemplate

think I got it, had the metadata filter in the publisher to narrow. Set it on full metadata and now i got it in my thumbnails. Can I get it also in my large displayed image?

This still doesn't work: {IfKeyword=verh 3:2;Available as 3:2}

I'm getting it in both places. You need to include the token in the large image "Caption" field in the template.

Re: Metadata in albumtemplate

Make sure the image has that keyword (verh 3:2), otherwise you won't see anything.

Re: Metadata in albumtemplate

It has... My syntax is ok is it?
And is this valid too: {IfKeyword=verh 3:2;Available as 3:2|IfKeyword=verh 1:1;Available as 1:1|IfKeyword=verh 4:3;Available as 4:3|IfKeyword=verh 16:9;Available as 16:9}?

Re: Metadata in albumtemplate

Thought I got it. The space in the keyword seemed not valid and it worked but now it doesn't anymore... beats me...

Next is getting two formats: available as 1:1 and Available as 2:3. Do I want something not possible now?
