I can see where to export the main template. But, it saves a s atext image. Wordpress needs a zip file to import. Is there an easy process to mirror my main template on my wordpress blog page?

Do you have the WordPress add on?
If so: http://backlight.theturninggate.net/doc … -on_basics

You've purchased the WordPress Add-on, correct?
Have you also installed it from the Backlight > Modules page?

You need to create the theme in Backlight.
If you’ve purchased and installed the WordPress add on in Backlight, when you go to Design in Backlight you should see Theme Templates at the bottom of the page

I think I found where I was missing it.
It is always nice to mention what was missed in order to help others that happen to find the thread. Thanks!

I read this the other day, and it didn't click with me what was going on. In my defense, I've been sick all week, and my head's not been functioning to full capacity.
Reading it now with a clearer head, I think what's happening here is a disconnect between expectation and functionality.
Exporting and getting a TXT file, I believe you're exporting the Backlight template, which is simply a record of your designer settings. That's for backing up or transporting your Backlight templates. That's the "Export Template" button.
To export the theme for use in Wordpress, use the "Export Theme to Wordpress" button, and that will create the folder and assets in the /wp-content/themes folder of your Wordpress site, the URL for which you've provided in Backlight's settings.
I hope that clears things up.
