php update

My host, One.com, recently updated the php version to 7.2 and that made my page not working as it should. Galleries doesnt show, text missing etc. You can find my site at www.eldifoto.se
Is there a fix for this, or do I have to update the site to Backlight?

Re: php update

I think you have two options:

1) Update to Backlight

2) See if you can roll back the php version to an earlier on (5.6)
You should be able to do this in your hosts C-Panel

CE4 is noi longer being developed so don’t expect a fix

Re: php update

Thanks for youre reply,
I'll guess I have to update to Backlight then, as I cant roll back any further then to 7.1 in the C-panel.

Is there a way to update from ce4-backlight without doing it all from scratch?

Re: php update

You’ll have to redesign your site, but Backlight makes that easier than working in the Web module was.
If you were using CE 4 Publisher, there’s a migration function that will put all your albums and sets under Backlight control.
If you were exporting and uploading galleries you’ll need to start all over and republish everything.
Here are some tips:
If using CE4 Publisher: http://ttg-tips-and-tricks.barbeephoto. … backlight/

If you were exporting and uploading galleries: http://ttg-tips-and-tricks.barbeephoto. … backlight/
