Wp-Theme Multi-Language???

Hi Matt, Ben, Rod and all which were involved to this fabolous Backlight2

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!

the multi-language option is working very well but not in the WP-Theme. Is that normal?
If not how can I make it work???

Might be easiest to deal with that with a plugin. Looks like there’s a lot of them out there.

In what ways is it not working in the WP theme? Personally, I operate in a single language, so I'm less asking for bug reports here, and more for experience reports. What are you expecting, and in what ways are those expectations not being met?

Hi Matt,

multi-language works perfect in Backlight 2 with the following:

<h2 data-lang="en">English Heading</h2>
<h2 data-lang="de">Deutsche Überschrift</h2>

<p data-lang="en">Some English-language text...</p>
<p data-lang="de">Einige deutschsprachige Texte...</p>

I expected the same functionality in the WP-Theme but don't know if it is possible.

There has been no update. I need to take my laptop in for repairs later this week, and I'm hoping to find some time to start getting into some of the development tickets I've collected once I get it back.

We've looked into it a bit. It's troublesome, as our multi-language implementation is very internal to Backlight. We've tabled it for now, may come back to it at some point for a second attempt, but not sure when or if that will happen.
