Album thumbnail background

I set the album thumbnail background to "no-colour". I have an image as a background on this template. On the template on which the album page is based, I set the Base as black. So, the thumbnail cells are on a black background. I would rather the cell be "transparent". I had it like this (thumbnail images, no border, no background) but I went to tinker something and now, I can't find my way back!
What am I missing? This is a Masonry setup.

Where did you do this? In the template?
If you're referring to the big X in a box, that sets the color to the default base color you've chosen under the Color tab of the page template.

There is a transparency slider in the Background-color color picker though.

Matt's got a helpful video on the Pangolin color settings in this blog post: http://theturninggate.net/2017/06/30/ba … available/

Re: Album thumbnail background

In the page template (lucfr-oeuvres), I changed the Base color to black (there is no "transparent" or no-color option). That accounts for the black within the thumbnail cells, I guess. I could probably live with that but I would rather see the background image thru the thumbnail cells.
In the album template (albums_luc-fr) there is a color control under Thumbnail Grid/Background colour. It is set to no-color. There is also color controls in the Album Set (galleries-oeuvres) template but they affect the album set templates.

There is nothing in the CSS file that affects the album thumbnails, as far as I can tell.

Re: Album thumbnail background

I think this can be set in Backlight, if not custom css is here to help:

.gallery .item {
    background-color: red;
}

Set it in the album template.

In your album template, go to Thumbnail Grid > Background Color
Click on the drop-down
Drag the transparency slider all the way to the left.
