I attempted to update from Backlight-Pages-111, ClientResponse-702 and Wordpress-102 to Backlight-Pages-123-Release3, ClientResponse-712 and Wordpress-125 following the readme instructions very carefully (highlighted in red in the linked PDF below). After completing the procedure I found my templates were gone and am now receiving the error messages shown in the linked screen shots below. Can you tell me where I may have gone wrong in the process to cause these issues? I'm a bit lost as to how to fix this.

looks like you may have removed the Okapi modules (standard-album, standard-album-set, standard-page). You'll need to replace them if you plan on using your older, Okapi-based templates.
