Have you documented a complete backup procedure for both the Lightroom catalog and the necessary Backlight files.
There is both the Client and the Server side. Because of the co dependence I would assume there is no sense backing up one with out the other.
I guess another question would be ...How much of Backlight is in the Lightroom catalog?

the only part of your website that's in the Lightroom catalog are your images (and their metadata) and the albums and album sets in Publisher.
The albums and album sets are stored in the Catalog, so back it up as you normally would.
the server side stuff is nearly all in the backlight/ folder (other than the .htaccess and index.php files that come with the Pages module). So you can back them up however you want: either by just occasionally downloading those files to your computer or by using any backup service your host has.
Your albums and album sets are essentially backed up in Lightroom so you can republish if needed.
