I am in the process learning the new features in Pangolin before I design/replace my current life Backlight website. When running my prototype Pangolin website I noticed a different viewer rendering the images. It seems this viewer runs inline to the Page whereas my current life viewer is rendered on a new dedicated viewing page. Any idea why this is happening?

Hi Franz,
your live site is using the Photoswipe large image presentation.
Your prototype site is using the Single Image presentation.
The new Pangolin albums use Fancybox rather than Photoswipe. The presentation looks similar. To use this, choose the "Slideshow" presentation type under Photo Presentation.

Thanks Rod, that works.
However, I preferred Photoswipe because it supported touch swipe on Win10 running on computers/laptops/tablets with touch screens. It seems that the Fancybox no longer supports this.

In my iPad, swiping still changes the image

The iPad is a Mobile device and works like smart phone. On my Surface, swiping to the next image no longer works. With Fancybox you have to touch the "Next/Previous" arrows to advance to the next image.

As I don't have any Windows 10 touch-screen devices, I cannot speak to that experience. I'll try raising the issue with the Fancybox author, but can make no guarantees as to his response.
I am done with Photoswipe, though. Fancybox is so much easier to work with in so many ways, and is an all-in-one lightbox, rather than an image-only lightbox as Photoswipe. We're not going back.

I am still using Backlight 1.2.2 where image swiping on Win10 works. I have been waiting to upgrade but I am waiting for swiping of images to work again on my Surface running Win10 with Edge browser.
Andrew, in your previous post above about this subject you stated that you will bring this problem up to the Fancybox authors. I just checked the Backlight 2 examples on the TTG website and it still is not fixed. Do you have a timetable when image swipe will work again on the latest version of Backlight?
Thanks,
Franz
