Setting up a demo site with TTG

This may be an odd question?

I want to set up a Demo/Test site.  What do I need to do?

1  Create a sub domain on the public_html folder  eg. /public_html/TEST.
2  Install and setup Backlight on the "TEST" folder.
3  Create new Publish Service in Lightroom pointing at the TEST folder.

By doing this does the TTG-Publisher.lrplugin get updated for all Lightroom Publish services in that Catalog?

Is it possible to up a second instance of Backlight on a second Catalog (possibly on a second machine) by doing this?

Thanks

Kevin

yes and yes. But if you want a sub-domain, create that through you host's c-panel. Otherwise, just create a sub-folder and install Backlight there.
The main difference is if you create a sub-domain, the url will be test.yoursite.com. If you create a sub-folder, the url to the site will be yoursite.com/test/

3  Create new Publish Service in Lightroom pointing at the TEST folder.

Since the TTG-Publisher.lrplugin file is located in a common Lightroom location, all Publisher instances you create will use it. So yes, when you update it, it affects all sites that it manages.

No need. As long as the catalog is on the same computer, the TTG Publisher plug-in will be available.
If you're using a second machine, just install the plug-in on like you did for the first. It will then work with any catalogs on that machine.
Keep in mind that Publisher instances are catalog specific. That means Publisher instances in one catalog cannot control existing albums and sets made by another catalog.

Yes.
