Hello everyone,
A lot of changes in recent times!
To start, on my site http://phoneographie.com (photography or smartphone) blog deletion, and total return to Backlight.
Then, conversion of my second site http://vuedailleurs.com that had been done with CE4, and presenting black and white images, carried out with a more traditional hardware.
I ask myself about the square vignettes, well or not? Since larger images are in a different format.
Do not hesitate to tell me what you think.
Best regards.

I quite like the beautiful simplicity of the design. And I don't see any problem with using square thumbnails, even in cases when the full image is not square. It's a stylistic choice, and it works.

I think your use of the square images is very effective. Looking at them I find a smoothness in the transitions that is pleasant in that it doesn't jerk the eye around as happens with images that change dimension radically from one image to the next. In fact I'm giving serious thought to a change in how I present my own slide shows based on your use of the square images. Lovely work.

Very Nice Philippe,
I like the Squares as well and use them for links.
Your images fit very well into your design, less is more....

I really like the square images in the slideshow.
Not only are the images beautiful but also one could almost hear the slide projector clicking as each image transitioned. The rest of the site is nice and clean and really easy to navigate!
C'est vraiment magnifique!

Hello and thank you to you, I appreciate your comments!
I had moved a bit away from Baclight to orient myself on Wordpress, and I ended up returning totally to Backlight that I find much more reliable and efficient.
So I want to pay tribute to the great work that its designers are providing, and I sincerely believe that Backlight will continue to evolve, and we still have some surprises.
Cordially.
