On Quick Setup page I do not have the nice looking boxes that Mathew has on his demo video. That would not be a problem except that the buttons to edit API key, Admin password and guest password are not active and not responsive. As a result I'm dead in the water again. I have tried three different machines, and three different browsers. Primary is current HP zBook with current Firefox. Have also tried iPad with Safari and Chrome. What to try next I wonder? Been at it all day almost (solved server issue)

does your hosting comply with the TTG requirements listed on the Store page: http://theturninggate.net/product-colle … backlight/
if you want, you can email me your Backlight admin credentials and I'll be happy to try from my end. Just click on the email link under my name to the left.

Thanks for your help. I re-dowloaded, unzipped, replaced files on server. Same results. Poor looking pages and non working edit buttons. (and other odd behaviors) The host is Netfirms. I'd like to fix it rather than switching hosts.

Yes, we understand you'd like to fix things with your current host. In general, changing hosts is not necessary, except in extreme circumstances. With Backlight, we target fairly standard hosting configurations to cast a largest possible net for compatibility.
That said, you haven't actually answered Rod's question, i.e. does your host meet our stated requirements? You may review those requirements on our store page, http://theturninggate.net/product-colle … quirements.
Further, as Rod suggests, a link to your site, or access credentials to your Backlight installation would go a long way toward our being able to resolve your problem. There's not much we can do or investigate if you haven't given us any information to work with.

Thanks Matt, I'm currently emailing with Ben. Honestly, the server specs were not easy to find on their site. They are running WordPress and are historically up to date, so I have been confident in that regard, though not conclusively sure with regard to that point.
Ben has the site info requested -Thanks!

Solution- Thanks everyone for the timely and attentive support. Ben found the problem, and I realize my problem was with reading 1 c. of Install Backlight. I did not see that with yourdomain.com/backlight, yourdomain.com needs to be a folder on the server within the root folder that needs to be created (if it does not already exist -mine did not) Thanks
