First of: I am a big fan of Backlight. I moved all my galleries to Backlight and it works flawlessly. See: www.wimrietveld.nl
Today I bought and installed Theater and I can only say that it is a disappointment. Sorry guys, but go to: http://wimrietveld.dyndns.org/bl/galler … esteinder/ and you will know what I mean.
The gallery on: http://wimrietveld.dyndns.org/bl/galler … de-winter/ shows how it is supposed to be.
You can judge for yourselves....
Waiting for improvements and with great respect for what has been achieved with Backlight,
Wim.

You're using a full screen slide show. That's the way it's supposed to work. What were you expecting?
How big are those images? The show takes forever to load
You can use your graphic masthead if you wish, just be aware that it will cover part of the full screen slideshow.
Like Matt does here: http://backlight.theturninggate.net/gal … /vegas-fs/
On my test site, for the site landing page I've removed the graphic mashtead but have retained the navigation and am using a text masthead: http://backlight-rb-test.barbeephoto.com/

Your two galleries are comparing apples to hamburgers. Like Rod, I too have to ask, what you were expecting? If the latter gallery is how it's supposed to be, then use the standard gallery type that's built into Backlight.
