After upgrading from v1.01 my share button (for downloading) is missing. I need a better way to give my clients the ability to download than asking them to right click? Must I deploy the CR add on to get this capability?
Also, how do I get rid of the vertical menu that showed in the newer version? It's distracting in my case (see http://photos.frankwhitephotography.com/galleries)

you need to be using the Photoswipe presentation to get the share button.
By "vertical menu" do you mean the tray on the left side of the page (I don't see an actual menu)? If so, choose a one column layout in the page template.

I can't find the Photoswipe presentation for the share button. I hope you haven't took it away and put it in a $40 add-on. $40.00 is a bit pricey just to allow my customers to download photos without right-clicking (the only feature I'm interested in at this time. Although, I do intend to add the eCommerce capability when it come available). Plus, if you did, then you're setting a precedence of baiting and switching.
Can you tell me where Photoswipe is?
Thanks!

It's still there, it's part of Backlight's albums. You may be running into a similar problem that others have. See this:

Whew! You guys scared me for a second. That fixed it. Thanks!
Actually, once I found Photoswipe, I turned it off, saved it. Then turned it back on, saved it. I also changed the values of download, and share - (turned them off, then saved it, and back on, saved it).
