Editing text on your Galleries page

To edit the text appearing on your Galleries page, go to the Album Set template being used for the Galleries page (Designer > Templates) and edit the Page Copy in the template.
To see which template your Galleries page is using, go to Publisher > Top-level Galleries. The template in use is listed there. You can change the template and edit other settings by clicking the Edit link.

Updated Edit:

You can edit the Galleries page text by going to:
Publisher > Top-level Galleries
Click on the name of your top level gallery (probably "Galleries")
Click on Edit Properties
Scroll down and you'll see fields for entering text as well as options for where to place text that is coming from the album set template.

Re: Editing text on your Galleries page

Rob, I think I've followed these directions but only the default template is listed even though I installed the 4 new templates yesterday. Maybe the new templates don't apply to album sets?

Thanks for any info,

Scott

Re: Editing text on your Galleries page

the templates that Matt provided are page templates. They can be used on album templates, album set templates, or pages.

But to your Galleries page. Where are you trying to edit the text for that page?

that initial post is pretty old.

Hi Rod,

I wasn't trying to edit the text, I was trying to see how I would apply one of the new templates to this page:

http://www.scottwaltonphotographs.com/B … galleries/

Not sure what this page is called but ultimately would be the place where each of my gallery thumbnails will live. Currently just one as a test.

Thanks for any help!

Scott

Re: Editing text on your Galleries page

Create an album set template using one of the new page templates (I'm assuming you meant the downloadable starter templates that Matt created.)
Then go to Publisher > Top Level Galleries and click on "Galleries" .
Click on Edit Properties.
The third item down on the Edit Properties page is "Template". Use the drop-down to choose the album set template you want to use.

Re: Editing text on your Galleries page

Ok, that worked. Thanks!

Two more questions?

How do I get labels on the the gallery thumbnails (the albumn or gallery name)?
How do I get rid of the white line under the gallery thumbnails?

Both on this page: http://www.scottwaltonphotographs.com/B … galleries/

Thanks!

Scott

Re: Editing text on your Galleries page

Those white lines look like bottom borders

Those labels are Album Title and Album Description
enter that info when you create albums in Lightroom.
In the album set template, make sure the character limit is not zero (under Thumbnail setup)
Also make sure that the Album Info color is not the same as the Background color of the thumbnail cells

If you have further questions, be sure to start a new topic
