Clean out traces of old site

Is there a way or is it necessary to safely clean out the reminiscence of the old CE4 site from the sites Public Html folder?

Re: Clean out traces of old site

use FTP

Everything needed for a Backlight site is in the backlight/ folder (other than the galleries/ folder and the index.php and .htaccess files.
So once you have your Backlight site up and running, you no longer need CE4 folders and files such as lib/, fragments/, galleries.php, about.php, etc.

Your Backlight installation should overwrite the CE4 index.php file.

If you have a robots.txt file you'll probably want to leave that alone, as well as files needed by the server, such as php.ini files.
