Only one particular product per cart

Hello there,

I include a complimentary 10x8" print with my headshot sessions. I want to set the cart up to allow my customers to pick their £0.00 free print from TTG, but only allow them to add one of that product per transaction. Is this possible?

Many thanks,
Graham.

Re: Only one particular product per cart

I haven't been able to figure out a way to do this in the manner you're thinking. I thought Packages might do it but quickly abandoned that idea.
The only thing I can think of is to create a coupon that has the same value as an 8x10 print and have them enter the coupon code at checkout.
I'm not positive, but I think you would need to create a unique coupon code for each customer/job.

Re: Only one particular product per cart

To prevent that being abused (i.e. checking out a single image), you might setup a package for two prints, then create a code to discount one of them. This way, the freebie would only be available when ordering a second print.

I would suggest just pricing the two-print package to to match the one-print price, but then users would be able to add the package over and over to an order, in effect giving them a 50% discount on their complete order.
