Is is possible to have a dropdown menu expand when you hover over the top level and also get rid of the down arrow on the right side?

It looks like the drop-down icon is being added dynamically via script.
But you can get rid of it with custom css. This looks like it works:

I just tested this on my test site. It works fine on the desktop. On mobile, there's an existing ellipsis. I'd leave it there as there needs to be something to tap on to expand the drop down.

Thanks Rod. That works to get rid of the arrow and I agree that mobile will still need something. What about being able to have the list drop down by hovering over the top level menu rather than having to click on it?

there's an option for that in the plug-ins:
Navigation Items > Click for drop-down menus
