I'm trying to get a very basic site up and running. I've been through the tutorials and CE4 pages and gallery settings numerous times with no luck. Using Filezilla to upload with no apparent problems there. I'd appreciate any help.

It looks like when you exported Pages you named the export 'home' and have uploaded that folder to the root of your site. Or you've uploaded the contents to a folder named 'home':
http://mattfirthphotography.com/home/
Instead, you should upload the contents of the exported folder to the root of the site
don't forget to move ttg-be to the root as well
