Metadata in Jpegs- SEO

I was wondering about the Metadata?

Is there a way to have the Metadata  we have given in lightroom, be included or uploaded with the jpg files in the "photos" folder within the main gallery folder? Is that right that the metadata is not saved in any of the thumbnail or large image files?
(When not loading through publisher)

Thanks,

Patrick

Re: Metadata in Jpegs- SEO

SEO doesn't utilize the metadata baked into JPGs. The only things seen by search engines are the image file name, and the source code surrounding the image in its HTML page.
