Deleted Publisher albums from laptop but still on site / want them off

I accidently deleted my trip publisher albums  on my laptop while on a trip and I would like to know how to take the albums down from my site without messing up my desktop published albums. I tried searching but found nothing.

thanks
Jim

How did you delete them? If you deleted albums from within Publisher they should get deleted from the server as well.

At any rate, if you no longer have the ability to delete them using Publisher, you can manually delete them using FTP and then delete the entries from the database:

Re: Deleted Publisher albums from laptop but still on site / want them off

Good news and a little bad. I followed the directions. Deleted my Hong Trip Kong(typo) album set and then logged out. I  now still have the Hong Kong Trip album's original thumb nail and when I click on it I see a blank page that says "{"status":"error","message":"The album could not be found."}". I am sure either I missed a step or there is another step to do.  Looks like a mine field in there.

did you want to keep the album?
besides the album set, if you want the album gone you'll need to delete that too

No, I don't want to keep the album. I already deleted all the albums pertaining to the set and the album. I don't see any trace of Honk Kong album or set in the database. My plan was to just republish from my desktop.

They'll also need to be deleted in the galleries directory.  Try removing the gallery via FTP.

Re: Deleted Publisher albums from laptop but still on site / want them off

Phew !!! Thanks. Very nervous about deleting with FTP, especially when I don't know what I am doing.  They(Hong Kong) are gone and the rest of my site looks "normal".. I downloaded a copy of the folder before deleting just in case. If I didn't want to use my desktop publisher to upload them to the site again could I just manually place the same folder back up there?

Thanks again.
