I've never created a client before but wanted to try it, I've placed the CRG gallery in the templates/gallery folder but it doesn't pop up to link it to the client i created. I'm assuming I'm doing something wrong and or placing it in the wrong place. Anyone know what I should be doing?

the gallery you placed in ttg-be/templates/gallery/ is not intended to be a client gallery, or for public viewing for that matter. It's there for Publisher to use to create your client albums. In fact, it doesn't even need any pictures in it.

So you'll first need to create a CRG album via Publisher. When creating it, go to the Integration tab and choose "Managed by CRG Admin" for Client Management.

Once you've done this, you can go CRG Admin > Clients in TTG-BE, create a client, and assign the album to the client.

You need Publisher to use the Client Management features. Otherwise you can just export and upload CRGs and stand-alone galleries if you wish.
The main difference will be that your clients won't have the option of quitting a selection session and logging back in later to complete it.
see this post about the different deployment options: http://theturninggate.net/2015/02/clari … e-gallery/
