Php - something broke

A day or so ago there was a problem at my web host .... I was making some sub domain redirect adjustments, an error occurred and I had to contact support etc

That problem now 'appears' to be fixed but I can't get my (php based) home page to even load.

http://test2.photostomp.co.uk

it should be in the directory .... myhost>CE4>photostomp

if I put a basic html site in there, it loads.

Any suggestions?

Re: Php - something broke

that error implies the Publisher is missing

is your home page gallery set for Publisher replacement?
Is Publisher installed in ttg-be?

Re: Php - something broke

I just looked at your ttg-be. You need to install Publisher or change the option in Pages > Appearance > the Gallery > Allow Page Replacement by CE4 Publisher to No

If you install Publisher, you'll also need to create a home-page album:

Re: Php - something broke

ok, I just popped publisher in and it's working now!

I could swear I had tried that already earlier, along with every other permutation!

Thanks again Rob

Re: Php - something broke

be sure to change the url to your About page to /about.php. Right now it's /about/index.php and it's not working correctly.

Re: Php - something broke

I'm glad you mention the About link - this was my intention, but please tell me if I'm bonkers ...

Export a CE4 Wordpress Blog
Rename the the blog folder as About
Delete the about.php

I actually did try this a few days ago and it didn't work, so I guess I am bonkers.

How do I go about turning a blog into an About page? :-)

Re: Php - something broke

you can't just export Theme for Wordpress and use it at a blog. You first have to install WordPress to your site.
In your case you'll probably want to install it in its own folder. For example, my WordPress installation is in a folder named "blog".

Your exported ttg theme will go in the wp-content/themes/ folder

more here: http://ce4.theturninggate.net/docs/doku … _wordpress

after you've installed WordPress and your theme, you can point the About link to your blog page, but that's what the "Blog" link is usually used for.

Re: Php - something broke

Yes, I did all the Wordpress installation and I had the Blog up and running and looking good.

But is it OK, to rename the Blog folder as About - which is also why I had the About link as ... /about/index.php?

I intend to use at least one more blog/wordpress page as an actual Blog on the Blog link - (for this I would install another separate WP).
