Identity in the Masthead

I am trying to utilise the 'Profile Image + Text' option.

I would like to keep my graphic to the left of the 'container' and the Heading + Sub Heading to the right.

I say 'container', but I'm not really sure if that's what it is.

The Graphic stays left - fine.

With the texts, I have the Alignment set to Right, but it's only going Right to about half way across my 'page'.

I can push it away from the Graphic with Lateral Separation, but I would like it to just to stay aligned to the right edge of my Page/Body/Mantel thing.

Then I figured the text would then be free to move towards the graphic as the window/screen size diminished - but it doesn't seem to work like that.

Sorry, my description is probably not great! ... doe that make any sense?

Re: Identity in the Masthead

I think it's going to need custom css. try this:

.profile-labels {
     right: 0px;
}

Re: Identity in the Masthead

How would I go about adding custom CSS here? - I'd definitely like to know anyway.

I'm actually wondering if this is really necessary now .... I tried with one big long png graphics banner and to my surprise that seems to happily scale between devices - can that be true?

In which case, I'm not sure if the graphic + text approach offers any advantage?

thx

Re: Identity in the Masthead

you'll have to enable phplugins and then follow the instructions in the link I posted above.

that might be a good solution. go ahead and post a link to the site and we can take a look.

I really wish I could do all this stuff, but I'm afraid your link above and all the phpplugin stuff might be a headache too far for me - or am I just being a wimp?

Here's a link, but it's early days you'll understand .....

Re: Identity in the Masthead

what you have looks pretty good until it gets down to phone size, then the text gets kind of small. Not so small that it's unreadable though. If you're ok with how it looks then just leave it that way, but if you want images and text larger I'm afraid the only solution to that might be feeding different masthead images dynamically via custom css.

or am I just being a wimp?

Definitely wimp wink

(kidding)

Re: Identity in the Masthead

Thanks - think I'll be living with smaller text for the time being.

Do you think there are too many menu items?

I have noticed on a small Android Tablet that I get two lines of menu - obviously unacceptable.

The switch to mobile is on default - I guess it's either less items or bigger switch value.

Yeah. yeah, I realise I could do drop downs with phppluggins haha - maybe one day

Re: Identity in the Masthead

you can change the mobile break point so that the mobile menu (hamburger icon) appears earlier. Just set it slightly smaller than the width of the Android tablet.
