so im building a site in ce4 wordpress the nav bar is all set to align center and is doing so in lightroom but the actual top level nav on the wordpress site is aligning left what am i missing?

multi level navigation cannot be center aligned. In Lightroom, if you choose multi-level navigation you'll see that the only alignment options will be left, right, and none.
If you choose single-level navigation then you'll get left, right, center, and justify.
I'm guessing that if you choose to add sub levels in WordPress menus then the multi-level nav classes will be applied, eliminating center alignment. Just a guess though.

If you use the WordPress menu at all, then it switches to "drop-menu" mode. If you want the menu centered, then you will need to stick to the hard-coded menu out of Lightroom.

Right okay I've taken that on board cheers I've adjusted the padding etc to push it over

be sure to test that in a mobile browser. Or resize your desktop browser to mobile size to see what happens to the menu.

sorry i didnt mean padding it was margin i used to bump it over a bit and tested on a few different browsers now and its within acceptable limits

Using margin and padding to approximate a center alignment is a bad solution. If you intend to use a drop-down menu, then it would be best to rethink your design for a left-aligned masthead and navigation.
