Social Media Sharing - Centering?

Is it possible for the Social Media Sharing icons to be centered on the page (like in CE3)?

I tried the following custom css but it didn't work:

.social-media-profiles {
    text-align: center;
}

looks like the social media sharing icons/links are in an unordered list. This looks like the same issue as why navigation menus using dropdown navigation cannot be centered.
