Bare minimum set-up for client response

As the title says, I am wondering what the bare minimum set-up for having a gallery with the client response function would be. I need to keep things simple for now, and any help would be appreciated.

Re: Bare minimum set-up for client response

The only really essential bit is the contact setup:
http://ce3wiki.theturninggate.net/doku. … tact_setup

Be sure to test the contact form before sending to your client.

If you want to go a little further, start with our site building tutorial:
http://ce3wiki.theturninggate.net/doku. … _info_pane

Do the Site Info section, and maybe the Color Palette.

That's the gist of things. But you'll want to know what to do with the image selects you get back, and that's here:

Re: Bare minimum set-up for client response

Thanks for the reply Matthew, but I guess I was unclear in my question (not the first time - or so my wife says :-) )

What I meant was software wise from your site, do I only need the client response gallery plug-in or do I need more?

Re: Bare minimum set-up for client response

you only need the client response gallery, at a bare minimum.

If you'd like an index page that clients can go to to select their gallery, then you can add autoindex.

The publisher can also make things much easier to manage. There's a video on the shop page that explains it:

But the Auto Index and Publisher are ultimately optional.

Re: Bare minimum set-up for client response

Thank you Matthew, will check out the video - and see how many "extras" I need. I assume there is no problem using the CE3 plug-in with the other CE4 ones?

Re: Bare minimum set-up for client response

It will show up in CE4 Auto Index.

However, if using the publisher, you will need to setup CE3 Publisher to use CE3 Client Response Gallery.

The CE3 versions are presently included with the CE4 purchases in the store, so you'll have access to all the older plugins.

So I would recommend setting up a CE3 publisher instance, and an online CE3 corral specifically for your Client Response Galleries. Best to keep them separate from your CE4 stuff.

Re: Bare minimum set-up for client response

Thanks again - Is there a CE4 Client response in the works - and will there be an upgrade price (not that $25 is the end of the world, just wondering)

Re: Bare minimum set-up for client response

CE4 Client Response Gallery is not yet "in the works", but it is in the plan. Hopefully for later this year. But it will likely be very different than the current version. Torn down, rebuilt in a different paradigm, with two heads on it rather than one, and a price increase because of all that. But the $25 you spend now will later be applied to the purchase of the CE4 version, should you choose to upgrade.
