Linking Image to a Album

I would like to link these six images to their respective albums, rather than than using a drop down menu.

I had something similar in my TTG-CE4 website but can't quite figure it out if it's possible in Backlight.

Re: Linking Image to a Album

Album images cannot be linked.

Instead, create an album set that contains those albums. You can assign a specific image from individual albums to appear in the album set

Re: Linking Image to a Album

Can those specific images be assigned from within the album template?

Re: Linking Image to a Album

Those images would be assigned from each album.
Edit the album, in Base Setting tab use the Cover Image drop-down to choose the image you want to be the thumbnail.

Re: Linking Image to a Album

Selecting the Cover Image in the Albums Set and setting the thumbnails to 300px the only image that appears is the "hidden album".

Any suggestions on what could be the problem?

Re: Linking Image to a Album

Africa is the album set?
How many albums are in that set? I’m not seeing any thumbnails.

Re: Linking Image to a Album

You need to have albums in the set before thumbnails will show up.
Choose the cover image in each album.
The reason you’re seeing the hidden album’s thumbnail is because you’re logged into Backlight.

Re: Linking Image to a Album

In LR publisher I have Africa as the Album Set and in there is a Album called Rwanda.

While log in, if I click on the "hidden album: (Rwanda) that takes me to the thumbnails, which is fine.

The problem is I can't see the the large thumbnail that should be on the first level, the Album Set.

Even when I log out the hidden album is still visible.

In LR publisher I have Album-Features, "hide from album set and search ticked

I've cleared both the caches

Re: Linking Image to a Album

I'm using Safari and it appears the "empty caches" is not clearing every time. After a restart and logged out of BL the "hidden album" is no longer visible... so a win there!

Re: Linking Image to a Album

Did you delete the Africa album set? I'm now getting a page not found error.

Re: Linking Image to a Album

Rod...I was just going round and round in circles and not getting anywhere and decided to delete everything and start again.

I will use your suggestions and refresh myself with the documentation again after a good  nights sleep and a fresh mind.

Again, thanks for your help.

Re: Linking Image to a Album

I tried Matt's suggestion http://community.theturninggate.net/vie … hp?id=6396 making sure there was no underscore in the slug but I couldn't get to work.

Instead, I exported a 300px cover image to the custom thumbnail folder which worked, except the image now looks a lot smaller than 300px.

Re: Linking Image to a Album

That’s due to the design of the album set template. Edit the Thumbnail Grid section of the album set template. Thumbnail max-width
