For updating a Backlight 1 site to Backlight 2: http://backlight.theturninggate.net/doc … acklight_2
Okapi and Pangolin templates have different structure so you can't just convert an Okapi-based template to an Pangolin template, you'll need to redesign.
You can, however use your Okapi page, standard album, and album set templates. You just need to make sure those Okapi modules are installed

Hi Rod,
I already updated my site to BL2.
My question is, how I can move my site from Okapi to Pangolin. I've read that you guys prefer us to move to Pangolin.
So,
1) can I create a new album in Pangolin format while the rest of my site is still in Okapi format?
2) can I move my albums one at a time?
3) can I find documentation how I can move?

Pangolin is the way to go to get the latest features. AFAIK, there is no further development going on with Okapi, apart fixes to issues.
1) yes. If you do mix and match, you want to design the new Pangolin templates to match the Okapi format.
2) yes
3) This is not really a move. The only thing you change is the template assignment for the album sets and albums. The used template can be either changed in the Backlight backend or in Lightroom Publisher Album Settings. In case you change the image sizes, specially going for bigger thumbnails or images, you would need to republish all images from Lightroom. Otherwise, changing the template is all you need to do.

If you've not done so already, be sure to also install the latest Lightroom TTG Publisher plug-in. You can download it from your Backlight Modules page.
