I solved the weird image issue. I needed to select one. Why is there a lock icon on the main album link? everything seems to be working.
Thanks for help, again
Jim
Ok, we are making good progress. I filled the folder with autoindex content. The publisher sub albums are working. The issue now is the appearance of the main gallery sub album icon. It has a lock symbol on it and a weird image, but it works when I click on it.

Thanks again
I have been using publisher successfully to upload albums to my website and all was working great. I love it. Today, I decided I needed to make an album set for my China photos since I have about 8 trips worth of photos and I want to have a main album called China and under that the sub albums by trip. I created an album Set and then a sub china album. I published the china sub-album and when I try and expand the sub-album on my site I get this message:
"The template file /template_index.php could not be found. Make sure that the template found at ttg-be/templates/gallery/ has been created with the latest version of CE4 Gallery."
Here link to my site:

under Galleries it is the "China Set" that doesn't work
Jim
Thanks for the help. I got that problem solved.

I am using an HTML editor for a table with several thumbnails to insert into my homepage sidebar. Everything seems to work except that there are question marks on the image placeholders. I know I am doing something wrong with the image url's and or their placement on the site. Is there some Turning gate web page folder they should be located and referenced or can I make my own folder in "public_html" and reference that folder ?
Thanks
Jim
Thanks for all the input and help. I understand now.
Jim
Thanks for your help. I think we got it. What I didn't tell you was that I was using the Gallery Slide show on my homepage and once I disabled it and replaced it with just a photo the side bar in now on the side.
Does normally using the Gallery Slide show affect the side bar location ? I have no problem with just using a photo.
I think it has something to do about the size of home page images. Now I need to figure out how to make them smaller, I think ?
2560 x 1440
26 inches, big
I deselected my images and the side panel moved to the side. I must have my image gallery image size too wide?
I closed the LR side panels and sidebar is still below. My mobile breakpoint is set at 784. I changed it 500 and then 1000 and closed side panels and still below. What do you mean by width of browser? Thanks for quick reply.
I am trying to get the side bar on my CE4 home page so it is either to the left or right of the gallery on the home page not below it. I have seen sites here with the side bar on the side.
Thanks
Jim
I have done that exact procedure several times. I just copied all the pertinent website files under in the Public.html folder and used filezilla to download and up load. I later found out that Ipower does a daily backup and I could have restored from their backup as well. site as well.
Thank Rod. I am probably over reacting.

I pretty much used default settings for my site but I have had some complaints that the photos are slow loading on their IPhone. Is there some settings that will affect the loading speed. I have a windows phones and I have also noticed some slow image loading. Thanks.
Thanks, I love the ease of Publisher.
Jim
Ok. so it applies to individual photos, and only the changes will be published? Is there indication that a photo has been marked?
Thanks
Jim
I installed CE4 Publisher in LR 5 last night and all is working seemingly fine, but I am confused as to exactly what the "mark to republish" feature does. I have played with it but it seems to have no affect.
Thanks
Jim
Thanks for all the input. I finally figured it out after reading the posts and experimenting. When I am in the LR Web module using CE4 it is to say the least a bit sluggish and "jumpy". I finally figured out that I need to gently RIGHT CLICK on the saved template to update and not LEFT CLICK. It works great now. Still getting my CE4 work flow down. Thanks again for the help.
Jim
I am using windows 7 Lightroom 5. I made a saved Page Template under my User Templates. I also saved a Web Page gallery within my collection with the same name for the Page.
When I make changes to the Saved page template and then try to use the "update current setting" it does not save the new setting to either my saved template or the saved page gallery. I know I am doing something wrong.
I have tried it with and without using the "update preview" function. If I just create an new template and save it, everything is fine but it would be a lot easier just update current template settings.
Jim
I am newbie with using Turning Gate, but I am making progress and my test site seems to working great. I just received notice about some updates and would like to know where I find the version number before I install them.
Thanks
Jim
