#101 Re: CE4 Cart » Cart 3.1.4 really slow » 2016-01-25 19:50:46

Hi,

I have been in contact with the hosting company again,  they have checked the PHP and SQL versions and everything appears to be ok their end,  so I am now at a loss.

As previusly mentioned this issue is ONLY related to CE4 galleries the CE3 all load fine.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers..

Hi Ben,

Yes everything is all on the same host,  here is a CE3 Gallery which loads fine http://www.tsiphotography.co.uk/galleri … ufts_2013/

#103 Re: CE4 Cart » Cart 3.1.4 really slow » 2016-01-23 00:46:29

Hi Rod,  thanks I have dropped Ben a PM.

It is shared hosting but always has been and it's never been an issue before,

I do also have a 6.1.9 gallery and that is also the same,  it just appears to be anything to do with CE4 cart, as the TTG-BE is also unbelievably slow.

Hi all,  just recently all my galleries which have cart enabled are really really slow.  even when I try and go into anything ttg-be it takes forever.
cart 3.1.4
I have older galleries which still run CE3 cart and they load fine so it only appears to be CE4 related, cart 3.1.4.

If you look at gallery http://www.tsiphotography.co.uk/galleri … land_2015/ the cart icon seems to take forever to appear, one it does appear, I.E you are able to click on the cart again it takes agaes for the options to appear.

That's correct, Rod.

That's what I thought,  I removed all my print options and re-entered them again and now they appear in the correct order,  not sure what happened the first time round..

Thanks for your help Rod,  I had the page background and the H colour the same DOH..

#107 Re: CE4 Gallery » Gallery 6.1.5 » 2015-02-09 05:46:22

So whats the purpose of all the image.php files then as we have a thumbnails and a photos folder?

There doesn't appear to be a txt formatting on the Page Copy (md)?

In CE3 I put a page heading in I.E the clients name, but in CE4 you can't seem to Center align?

Also putting txt in with a "#" just makes the following txt disappear?

normal, as long as you're using a gallery feature that exports the page as php, then the single image pages get exported as php as well.
If you're not using any features that trigger php, then you'd get single html files.

Ok thanks Rod,  just moved over to CE4 Gallery and it wasn't like that in CE3??

How do you change the order of the products?

I have prints I.E

7x5
9x6
10x8
12x16

They appear out of order and I want them in price order?

Test gallery here http://www.tsiphotography.co.uk/test/ if you add an item and drop the Print list down it's all mixed up with no logic of order?

I have a large number of online galleries with CE3, I've just upgraded to CE4 and found out that CE4 doesn't have the masonry view I used previously.  The options that are in CE4 are not what I want and I'm not prepared to fiddle about for hours with custom css (it hurts my head and I don't understand it).

So the question is when I exported my galleries with CE3 the thumbnails are of a set size,  using the Iconic view in CE4 do I have to export all my galleries again with the thumbnails the correct size to fill the auto index thumbnail boxes?

Yes i saw that Rod,  but still very disappointing :-(  the options we have are very limited for the layout of the auto index page, I appreciate all the work that goes into these updates but as a user we need the functionality 1st.

Well that sucks no Masonry view on CE4 :-(  It's so annoying when you upgrade and some thing has been taken away...

you may be encountering the broken web fonts problem: http://ce3wiki.theturninggate.net/doku. … _web_fonts

instead of using http://www.yoursite.com, try just http://yoursite.com (without the www) and see what happens.

Thanks Rob, worked a treat!

Hi all,

I use Pages CE4 for my home page www.tsiphotography.co.uk but the rest of my site is still on CE3,  I seem to have lost the icons, I.E galleries that are password protected no longer display the correct Icon http://www.tsiphotography.co.uk/galleries/Weddings/ and more importantly CRG (CE3), when selecting an image the "DOT" doesn't appear so you cant see which images clients have selected.. http://www.tsiphotography.co.uk/galleri … lly_Edits/

Thanks in advance.

Video doesn't autoplay on mobile. As far as I know, that's an intentional choice by mobile browser creators (Apple, Google, Mozilla, etc.)

As Rod said, you should be using the "banner" style masthead, not "profile".

Thanks

I think Matt mentioned elsewhere that the H1 heading needs to be in there too. If I remember, that comes from the Masthead description. So make sure that the Heading field has a description: Site Info > Identity: Heading and see if that helps

I've just tried that and it's still the same, although now the entry in that field appears on the masterhead when it shrinks on an Iphone\Android

don't know about the autoplay issue, but for the masthead, see this: http://ce4.theturninggate.net/docs/doku … pect_ratio

Thanks for the reply Rod, but i have set  "padding-bottom: 13%; /* our height percentage, calculated by our ratio in Step 2 */"

My master head is 1140 x 185 so that equates to 13% and i have changed the line above but it hasn't rectified the problem..

Hi all,

I've created a new homepage http://www.tsiphotography.co.uk/ which all seems to work\look as i want on a desktop pc, but when viewed on an Iphone\Android the header is very small and the video doesn't play automatically?

Hi all, I've been a long time user of TTG plugins,  but i do get a bit frustrated having to build my site from scratch when these updates come out.

Without going into all the nuts n bolts of the differences between CE3 to CE4, what are we the end users really getting?

Interested to hear from people that have already made the jump?

I recently purchased CE4 pages, but to be honest I've built the site using CE4 and i'm not seeing anything to get excited about!

Now I know I'm going to get told " well you don't have to upgrade etc etc, I know that, it's just one of these real world questions...
