Thank you for the quick reply, Rod. Much appreciated.
OK. So I did as you suggested, in that I'm only using (to get started) Galleries as a subpages on my existing site.
So I have taken the backlight subfolder and loaded to my sites existing Home page. I was then able to enter the login info, as Matt lays out in his video, and seems to be available now. I'll try to get further along tomorrow and see what happens.
Thanks for your help.

FYI, I tried to upload the Backlight 2 folder to my site.
I entered, as shown in the installation video, this in the URL box: http://solarviewstudios.art/backlight/installer/
I get this error massage:
"Not Found
The requested URL /backlight/installer/ was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request."
OK, let me start be being clear, I am NOT a "code guy".
Which is why, the Backlight 2 description product page, seemed like the product I was looking for. "No Coding Necessary"
Currently, I have a fully functioning website for my studio. Been using it for years, using a PSD to HTML app, and then Adobe Dreamweaver to upload and maintain the site and all its adjustments.
I currently need a good cart feature added to my site. And one that does NOT require a subscription. (FYI, I only use older versions of Adobe, pre- Creative Cloud.)
So what I'm trying to do is export Lightroom Galleries, as I did with older TTG galleries, and create nice working Cart functions with those galleries.
So I need to be able to export single client galleries to my existing site.
After purchasing B2, the installation seems to say everything needs to be done on the server side, with B2 being the "Home" of the site. Am I misunderstanding this?
And if so, how do I get started setting this up???
Thanks
OK. Thanks!

Here is an example where I added a custom slideshow on a gallery page: https://danielleu.com/shop/wood-panels/. This does work on any page, even if there is already a Backlight based slideshow.
More about what I did is over here: https://danielleu.com/blog/2016/07/addi … sed-pages/
Hey Daniel,
Thanks for the sample site link. And the instructional link.
Probably the first of many questions I'll have going down the road here. :-)
Much appreciated.

Hi Rod, Thanks for the quick reply, and feedback.
1) yes. You could use Theater's Pym Embedded I-frame to insert content from other sources. These wouldn't be albums controlled by Backlight though, they'd need to be something you put online using a different sort of presentation and then embedded into a Theater page.
http://backlight.theturninggate.net/doc … tation_pym2.) Form to Email is no longer used. Contact forms are handled by Backlight
3) Not exactly sure what you mean by auto-slide show. I think the answer is no though. The slideshow in a Pangolin album will take up the whole page.
Theater's Vegas slide show as well as Galleria can be place above or below the content (and with a little jQuery, you could place text both above and below the content. But these slideshows cannot be made to float left or right.4) No, not as is. There may be a way to do this with phplugins. Or perhaps Pym can insert more than one iframe??
1.) I think that might get it. On my site currently I use "Juicebox Pro" to build my galleries. I then use a PSD to HTML converter (Webbsy) to set it's location on the corresponding page.
2.) Cool.
3.) Yes, in looking through the gallery samples, it's the "Inline Slideshow" that I'm looking for. Thus my term "auto-slideshow". Several of your forum "Backlight 2" site samples show this in action.
4.) So that had me wondering if you could have more than one of those inline slideshows going at the same time? As in, previewing two Image Categories on a page, at the same time.
Hey Guys,
Been using the ttg galleries with Lightroom since the early day of the Turning Gate. Still use LR6 as I refuse to pay a subscription to Adobe. And with my business and current website, I still export ttg galleries for client proofing from within LR6. And it all still works pretty darn well. :-)
I’m looking now at creating online purchasing options with Backlight 2 and the "Add-on Cart" options.
With that, also looking to possibly redo the whole site, gradually, assuming the flexibility is there for me to accomplish what I need to in creating my site. Also with the understanding that I am not a "code-guy". :-)
I currently use PS6 and Webbsy(...now absolete) to build my web-pages.
So questions:
I like my current galleries and their navigation.
(sample: http://solarviewstudios.art/ss_main/sen … index.html )
1. Is it possible to use other outside gallery formats within the Backlight 2 layout? As in, create a "media-box" for the content to place in. Or do I have to use one of the Backlight Gallery options?
2. Does the"Cart" and "Client Response" functions require "form to email"? (I know the old one did.)
3. Can the automatic-slideshow functions be placed pretty much any where on a page?
4. And can more than one slideshow be placed on a page? As in, if I want to have say, have two auto-slideshows with just a few rotating pics in each play upon the page loading.
Thanks, guys.

Another quick question.
I'm noticing that when I switch form one of my older presets to the new CE4 CRG preset I'm currently working on (transferring paragraphs of text, colors and such) the main window in LR goes completely white when I press the CE4 Preset button, and is not accessible to work on. I have to then go out to the Library, and then back into the "Web" Panel for the CE4 Preset to reload. Is this normal? Or am I missing a step? Or is it a minor glitch?
Thanks, Rod.
Looked thoroughly through the "Site Info" and "Appearance" sections, expecting it to be a "content" thing. Didn't expect it to be located in the "Color Palette". Although, I could have sworn I looked there to at some point too. I guess I had glazed-over at that point. :-)
Thanks, man.

Follow-up. Sorry, more newbie stuff here.
How do you edit the "Lorem Ipsem" text? Can't find the entry point to edit it in the CRG panels.
TIA

I dragged the CRG lrwebengines to the "Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom as with older versions
that's not the correct folder. See the installation instructions:
http://ce4.theturninggate.net/docs/doku … nstall_ce4You can use the CE4 version of CRG just like older versions: export and upload. The only extra thing you'll need to do is install TTG-BE and the online component of CRG
http://ce4.theturninggate.net/docs/doku … lery_setup
I did put it in the right spot, just forgot to right ".../Web galleries" in my OP.
Found what I was looking for. It is the pull-down selection at the top "Page Preview". It opens default to "Quick Reference". Now I'm seeing the full page preview. Figured it was something simple I missed. :-)
Minor correction, on the older LR gallery webengine I was using, it was actually "SP-TTG Highslide Gallery Pro 2.0", not the above mentioned ttg_clientresponse217" that is "whiting out blank screen"
Hi All,
Been a longtime user of TTG LR galleries v2.x. But with LR 5, many of them stopped working. (White Screen in LR web gallery view). So I just purchased the "Client Proofing bundle". I have a full website, but simply need to regularly load new Client Response Galleries like I used to do with "ttg_clientResponse217". Typically I would create a gallery in LR, export it as an HTML file, and then load it to my server. So trying to accomplish the same with CE4.
In the installation video, it shows Matthew doing all this setting up with all all these different elements into your site folders and then publishing from LR.
I dragged the CRG lrwebengines to the "Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom as with older versions. But when viewing the CRG Layout in LR, It's not loading my images, so I'm not seeing a preview of the gallery. Is this only pre-viewable in the actual site pages? Or did I miss a step?
Thanks.
