I am starting with Backlight for the first time. What is API? It say's "The API Key, you will have set on the Quick Settings page when installing Backlight, above." But I don't know what it relates too!
I updated my server details by having my site migrated to a server with the latest settings that you advised. My old links that were not working are now operating fine.
I still have the same problem trying to activate the new Backlight. I still do not see the .htaccess file or know where to find it! So I continue with the Install Backlight 1.c. When I try to open the link www.kewphoto.com/backlight in my Safari browser I get a blank page!
What do I do now?

Is Backlight installed in the root of the site? Do you mean in the file www?
I have purchased Backlight. Downloaded the files and uploaded them to my server via my FTP application Fetch. When I type in the web browser my web address followed by /backlight I just get a blank page.
What happens next?
I was following the step step guide and came short when it says "If installing Backlight + Pages, be sure to include the .htaccess file. It may be invisible in Mac's Finder or Windows Explorer, but you should be able to see it in your FTP client; make sure it's set to show invisible files."
I do not se this file on my Mac or in my FTP application so I really don't understand what they mean by FTP Client?
If I purchase Backlight how many computers can I use the application on?
I remember reading previous blogs to keep the galleries below a 1000 images. If you go above there are to many photos and the gallery won't open properly. I use gallery response mainly for my wedding photography so clients can select up to 240 photos for their wedding album. I created my own style template.
I remember some of the original templates split the pages into smaller groups per page.
Would this work if I only allowed up to say 500 images per page but within the same home page link?
Was this the right place to send the link? I just checked it again and it works fine. I have another link but which I prefer no to show other people. What you mean by show in Gallery?
Here is a link you can review. http://www.kewphoto.com/bodas2017/17061 … index.html. You will see that some of the thumbnails show photos but not all are visible.
I have started to receive problems with my links created from my CE3 Gallery Response. They open and work on the computer offline but when I upload them via my FTP server the links are not working. I want to know if I should upgrade to CE4 or pay extra and upgrade to Backlight with the Client Response plugin?
With CE4 Gallery Response does it allow the client to revisit the page after closing it on their computer and see comments or selections they have made from a previous visits?
Thanks for the tip about clients being able to return to their album page. That will be a big plus for me.
I am creating galleries which work when I test them on the computer, but once I have uploaded them online via my FTP app I find afterwards that the links show blank thumbnails or are not showing anything, saying "can't connect to server". I have checked with my website host and they said that there were no errors from their end. I am also only including up to a maximum of 999 photos for each gallery. Has anyone experienced this problem? If so is there a solution?
Does CES Client Response Gallery work in Lightroom Classic CC?
