I think we'll just have to disagree on that one.
Some gallery images should never be able to be linked to directly, or rather should not be 'encouraged' to by the ease of a permalink, such as children's galleries.
It just flags up the fact that images (even those in password protected galleries) are actually publicly visible with a direct link - perma or otherwise.
Permalinks are only really suited to blog images.
That's a permalink icon,
Unfortunately, I don't think it can be removed.
Ahh, ok, that's a shame.
I know that under CE3, we only allowed customer to write custom text with transactionless cart set up (unless I was dreaming???).
Is it now possible under CE4 for there to be an 'Additional requests' text box for paypal funded orders, perhaps before customers get sent to paypal or when returning from paypal to complete their order and accept terms and conditions etc.?
This would obviously be very useful for my customers who might want to customise something.
Thanks,
Kris.
It can't at the moment then, Rod?
I wouldn't want to default to the lowest prices, as I do make money on them, and in the uk all photographers offer them as standard.
I could offer it as another unique 'reduced cost' item, but that seems silly when I could offer a reduction off all packages in one Simple option.
Is it possible under CE4 to have an option in print packages (and individual items I guess) that can reduce the price of each package by a specified amount?
For example, I might want to have an option that allows customers to remove strut mounts from their print packages for a reduced price, such as 10%. Strut mounts are a huge cost and are going up this year.
Of course, I might also want options that increase the package price also.
Is this possible under CE4?
Thanks,
Kris.
Looks very good indeed Matt.
Can't see anything amiss.
The scroll effect is much preferable for carts with multiple items. Did you notice the flash and very slight skip when you press 'skip to checkout'? Don't get it when pressing 'back to top'. It is minor, I'll admit.
The image at
https://drive.google.com/folderview?id= … sp=sharing
shows the current layout of the cart screen.
Is this the final release layout Matt?
If so, is there any possibility of incorporating the costs of total, shipping etc into the table above that, or at least mimicking its style? I think it looks out on a limb as it is.
Hia Jon.
Your masthead is not appearing on the home page on mobile.
Is there a sample discount code we can chose from?
All my comments regard android phone by the way...
The options that appear after choosing the change button are aligned far left, off the screen. I can only just see the drop down arrows.
Check.
I'll have a play later.
I'll try and replicate my package merging problem as well.
One minor point, any chance to have 'skip to checkout' to actually scroll to the relevant area (a la return to top ), rather than a hard jump?

I say this because I had one school this year where I swear nobody could ever have bought anything on the Internet in their lives, so anything that can confuse them will.
You may have a point there.
Excellent.
The filename only becomes necessary after an order to trace the exact image required, yet appears equal font and above the actual product that is being added to the cart..
How about only having the filename as a mouseover on the thumbnail image, or in small font under the thumbnail image?

Android 4.4.4.
When a phone screen is filled with square thumbnails from a gallery, the finger scroll will not work and will not allow me to scroll the page up or down. I can select an image for large view however.
Try now. Be sure to refresh, clearing the cache. I Googled, found an Android bug that might be the cause, and have applied the reported fix. But I can't test it.
Nope, still demonstrating the same fault on tablet and phone. Cleared history and cache too.
Even on 11" android tablet that displays the desktop view.
OK. give me a minute.
Btw, if you add a second package to the cart when you already have an incomplete first package in the cart, it throws an error and then actually mixes up the two packages, e.g., what was 2 of 6x4s in the first package will transfer to the second.
Once a package has been chosen and the customer has selected an image, I think the text:
Assign an item to a package
would be better replaced with
Assign this image to your chosen package
Also, I think that the ItemName and ItemID (the filename) is less relevant to the customer than the actual product being added. I think Cancel would be better as an actual button rather than the current text link.
Kris,
Specifically, what's that second screen? Is that the add-to-cart modal on Android 4.4.4 / Chrome?
No, that's the results of view cart >> Change button.
The first and second image is 4.4.4 Chrome.
The third image is tablet chrome on 4.2.2.
Got one for you.
Android 4.4.4.

If there is a section of screen that does not have a square thumbnail, then scrolling from that point re-enables scrolling.
Hope that makes sense.
OK.
Yes, it was in the cart view.
I'll just play with the 'add to cart' section then for now.
I've added another image that demonstrates the error on the tablet
Look very nice, a huge improvement on previous.
Couple of problems on Chrome on android 4.4.4 ...
1. There is a quantity / remove / pricing layout glitch.
2. Another formatting error when clicking on 'change' on an item already in your cart.
Edit - errors display on both phone and tablet. the second error causes the tab to freeze and become unresponsive.
See images at:
https://drive.google.com/folderview?id= … sp=sharing
I'll keep playing with it.
Ahh, cheers, will have a play.
The mobile cart window is obviously not adapting to mobile and it's unusable currently - the ItemID is vertically aligned and takes up five or six screens and you cannot scroll right, so you can't see or choose any options on that half of the screen, including 'proceed to checkout'.
At the checkout, that 622 pixel placeholder image for 'not yet assigned' package item is enormous even on desktop!
Having added a package to the cart, customers are forced to choose each package item in the order they appear in the package description. Is it possible to have a drop down of the package items so they can choose which item from the package they assign that particular image to?
Is still 404'ing on the demo site when used with mobiles.
Also, there is no package support on the demo site, or am I missing something?
I'm keen to test it out.
Thanks.
Permalinks icons cannot be removed.
Yikes! Really?
They can't be removed from ce4 galleries at all?
That might cause me problems.
