OK fixed now.

Another republish seems to have sorted it out.

Hello

I was originally using my 'Album - Theater - Widescreen' for the Las Vegas Slideshow on my Home page:

https://www.piktour.uk/

Then I switched to 'Album - Theater - Square' and uploaded some square format photos.

Now the weird thing:

On one of my Chrome logins all photos are shown square but on the other they are still shown widescreen. This behaviour is the same on my iPhone.....it's stuck on widescreen.

I've cleared all the usual cache & cookies from both Chrome & Safari and I've re-uploaded the photos to no avail.

Any idea what else it could be?

Thanks

After a few refreshes Las Vegas seems to be running now.

Is it possible to reduce the space between the Masthead Piktour logo and the Tagline?

#29 Re: Backlight 2 Support » Format Tagline Font » 2020-04-21 13:57:16

Hello Rod

Thanks for the update.

That sorts the font out but stops the Las Vegas Slideshow

#30 Re: Backlight 2 Support » Format Tagline Font » 2020-04-21 12:23:25

OK correct css applied which has changed the font & font style but font weight and font size are ignored.

There must be something else overriding it.

#31 Re: Backlight 2 Support » Format Tagline Font » 2020-04-20 12:43:02

Hello Rod

piktour.css:

/**
* CHANGE TAGLINE FONT THROUGHOUT THE SITE

span.site__tagline {
font-family: arial;
font-style: italic;
font-size: 20px;
}

Setup on Home page now:

https://www.piktour.uk/home

Thanks

I have tried your css in piktour.css and it has no effect on the tagline.

Tagline has been removed as it doesn't work at the moment.

It's OK I found your article on TTG Tips - How about text above and below a gallery?:

https://ttg-tips-and-tricks.barbeephoto … a-gallery/

I'll see if I can get my head around that first

Thanks

#34 Re: Backlight 2 Support » Format Tagline Font » 2020-04-17 11:53:43

I've never used css but now's a good time to learn.

I see several css folders in the backend.....can you tell me which file needs to be edited so I can play around with it.

#35 Re: Backlight 2 Support » Contact Form appearing at Top of Page » 2020-04-16 14:20:00

Sorry I wasn't talking about the Contact page in the Top Menus.

I meant if I add the default Contact Form to my Designer > Pages > Home (Insert Contact Form)

Hello

If I add a Contact Form to my Home page it appears at the Top.

In the setup page it looks Like it should appear at the bottom after the Album & Album Sets.

How do I get it to appear at the bottom?

.....

Also the 'Invitation' text does not show up. Is that the same behaviour as the Album Sets with the Text not appearing?

.....

Thanks

Hello

I use the Bellefair font for my logo Piktour in my Home page Template for use on my Home page:

https://www.piktour.uk/home/

When I put a Tagline under it Backlight uses the same font although slightly smaller.

I don't want the same font in the Tagline, is there somewhere I can format it?

.....

NB. At the moment I use the Home pages Main Copy text to drop in the Tagline but I would like to use that Text below the Album.....as per the problem I'm having in my 'Galleries Main Copy Text not showing up' post:

http://community.theturninggate.net/vie … p?id=11547

.....

Thanks

#38 Re: Backlight 2 Support » Search magnifying glass icon Settings » 2020-04-16 11:52:40

Got it.

I was changing the Text colour but it was the Background colour I had to change so it would show up against our main white background. The Text colour was only changing the Magnifying Glass icon......which makes perfect sense.....now!

Thanks Rod

Changed the button colour to Black in my 'Page-Home-2 Column' template but it made no difference.

The magnifying glass icon background on my Search page is now white or clear'

See here: https://www.piktour.uk/backlight/search/

I'm sure it used to be black so I guess I've changed something but no idea what.

Can you offer any pointers please.

Hello

So I have the Album Set > Galleries to show under the Theater/Las Vegas Slideshow album on my Home page:

https://www.piktour.uk/home/

However, the 'Main Copy' text that is embedded in Galleries does not show up above the Galleries Album Set thumbnails.

Is there a way to enable this to happen?

Post New Topic

I'm adding this to my list of topics as there doesn't seem to be a link anywhere to be seen to 'Post a New Topic' from my 'Posted' page.

Yep right again.....it had no setting applied, so appeared transparent I guess.

Thanks very much

Hello

The Captions in my Album-Theater & Album-Theater-2, I created two in case there was corruption, both seem to be stuck.

They seem to be pulling 'Headline' from my Metadata, which is neither the Album's default {Caption} or the one I've changed them to {Title|Filename}.

See my Home page where I'm using them here: https://www.piktour.uk/home

I've tried Clear Template Cache and all the other Cache & Cookies stuff to no avail.

There is also something else weird happening.....the settings I change in these Album Templates have no effect until I change something in the Home Page template, just a full stop added to the Copy will do it.....very odd behaviour.

#47 Re: Backlight 2 Support » Collapse Captions missing » 2020-04-13 13:36:18

Yes sorry.....got fed up with the load times for a Home Page.

Plus the Collapse Captions missing icon looks like something that's not straightforward to fix.

Thought I'd try the Las Vegas Slideshow but I've got a problem with that! I'll open another post.

#48 Re: Backlight 2 Support » Full Screen missing on iPhone » 2020-04-12 12:17:28

OK I found that as you scroll on iPhone the screen maximises and reduces the header section.....so it's as near to Full Screen as you're going to get.

I gather from elsewhere on the web that total Full Screen is not possible on iPhones.....hence the reason the icon goes missing I guess.

#49 Re: Backlight 2 Support » Collapse Captions missing » 2020-04-12 11:56:57

So I've just noticed that the Collapse Captions icon is actually there on the Home page version but it's invisible!

If you hover in the area where it should be the tip caption comes up.

Any idea what is hiding it?

#50 Re: Backlight 2 Support » Collapse Captions missing » 2020-04-11 12:04:50

Hello Rod

It's not the thumbnail size it's when you open a photo up the captions show at the bottom.....now that's OK on a PC but on an iPhone they take up a lot of room.....so there is a Captions Collapse arrow on the right to reduce them to one line in the Impressions album but not in Home.

NB. As far as I'm aware the Home page is set up as 2 column.....where do you see 3 columns?
