When I ran the installer program with the files in the incorrect locations, were there any other files and directories created ?
Can I move the files to the correct location and rerun install? My current directory structure
/public/html/backlight/backlight
/custom
/data
/galleries
/.htaccess
/.index.php
Upgrading from Backlight 1 to 3. I removed everything except backlight/custom and backlight/data from the server. Then I mistakenly added the files from the upgrade package to /public_html/backlight instead of /public_html. Can I move those files there and run Installer again?
Once again Big SMILES
I've been a long time user of CE 1-4 and upgraded to Backlight. I now have time to work on getting Backlight 3 working and adding more modules. I'll research the upgrade from Okapi to Pangolin and decide when. As is always the case with this site. The help is outstanding. Thank you.
Would you upgrade to Pangolin templates after the upgrading to 3 or before
I've got SSL working now that I moved PHP to an earlier version. My site is https://rossdickinson.com. Since I'm still running the Okapi templates what is your recommendation? I'm not clear on the following quote from the upgrading document.
================
Exclusive to those upgrading from Backlight 1, the standard Okapi modules may be installed from the Admin => Backlight Modules page. This includes okapi-album, okapi-album-set and okapi-pages. These modules are provided strictly for the purpose of transitioning your existing site to the newer version of Backlight, and you should prioritize the creation of new templates using Pangolin.

Thank you. I had PHP upgraded yesterday. I'll ask to have it rolled back.
I posted the the screenshot in a folder called screenshots in /backlight/screenshots
What version of PHP should I have running on Bluehost?
How do I determine which Backlight I have installled? I recently moved and have been able to find my folder of notes on my Backlight installation. . I have time to upgrade to Backlight 3 Part of that plan includes getting SSL running on rossdickinson.com, hosted on Bluehost. I need to move forward. I will start researching the Backlight 3 install if being unable to currently login to Backlight isn't necessarry for the upgrade.

I need to log in to backlight to make some changes to get SSL to run. I looked up my username and password in /backlight/data/admin/password.txt. When I try logging in I get an error
count():Parameter must be an aray or an objec that implements Countable in SimpleHTMLTag.php on line 44
Please help.
I'm getting getting an error when trying to login to Backlight. I think I was on Backlight 2. I haven't been active in a while. I've move and lost my folder of notes . I lookup up my username and password by ftping to the site and opening /backlight/data/admin/password.txt. Is there a way to get the screenshot of the error to you?
Rod, you've been most helpful. I've printed out three threads that look like they contain enough information to get the job done. I've just finished a 5 month eBay effort selling my late wife's QVC jewelry and stuff and am taking three months off. The eBay effort was successful, but 80 hour work weeks have left me needing to recharge my "inner" batteries. I will be fishing Odell Lake the whole month of June. My late wife and I always went there to the same campsite and boat slip at Shelter Cove. This year I'll be scattering ashes and family and friends are coming up to fish with me. I've got the rest of May to tie my kokanee lures, prepare the boat, load the camper on the truck and get the food and other provisions loaded. I'll start on the SSL project in July when my time is unfettered! It was nice to get this information. An important part of my life going forward is to get my matting and framing room set up. I plan on joining the Saturday Market in Eugene to facilitate selling my greeting cards and photographs. This is a long range goal. I still have lots of QVC inventory to sell. I just need the healing forces of nature and Odell Lake is a very special place.

Thank you Rod. I'll do that.
I discovered a difference between http://rossdickinson.com and https://rossdickinson.com. Can someone take a look and point me in the right direction. I asked my host, Bluehost for advice and they thought it might be in the CSS, which I will have to study to figure it out. Any help would be appreciated.
Ross
to the Backlight team and Mathew. That was a painless move! WOW! Thank you all!
Thank you Rod. My question involves having several other top-level galleries, Travel, Events and TBGO (a marching band we traveled with). Their publisher services point to, http://rossdickinson.com/1TestSite/backlight/publisher/. Will that get changed behind the scene, so to speak, when I make the changes to the Backlight settings for to Company and Site URLs?
I removed all of the CE3 albums and album sets from rossdickinson.com from within Lightroom. Because of some broken links I had to manually delete some of the top level directories via FTP. I'm seeing some more residual CE2 CE3 things I should probably clean as well. I think fragments, galleries, photos, phpplugins, publisher, resources and thumbnails should also be removed as they were part of CE2 or CE3 which I am no longer using. Please confirm this for me.
Also could you point me to a document that covers what I need to do next. I've pieced together some information from different searches, but I'm not 100% comfortable in how to proceed.
The test site is in a subdirectory. http://rossdickinson.com/1TestSite/home/
Thank you

Thank you very much Charlie. That did the trick.
When I was creating a new top level directory, I failed to change the path in the new TTG Publisher - TBGO from galleries to /tbgo/. I didn't realize the mistake until I had tried to publish the first Album Set (2011 Band Events). I then changed the settings of TTG Publisher - TBGO path to /tbgo/ and started publishing the first Album Set, 2011 Band Events. Then I noticed I had a subdirectory, 2011bandevents under galleries so I deleted it. Now I have a phantom 2011 Band Events which loads when I go to http://rossdickinson.com/1TestSite/galleries/. How to I clean up this mess? I'm going to stop development while I wait for an answer. Thank you all.
Thank you for all the help. I've migrated both of my domains to Bluehost, not without some bumps, but overall I'm pretty happy. The publishing from within Backlight works very well. Now, I need to port the existing website over and...replace.
Thank you. I will investigate them all in the morning, when my brain is fresh.
No need to reply I read further. Bluehost even has a site transfer service which seems to be helpful for me as I deal with my loss my late wife. The web stuff is an important part of my moving forward.
