Hi Daniel.
Thank you for your answer. Unfortunately, my computer skills are not very good and I need more help.
Can you please explain step by step how to integrate the script into backlight?
How do I use the code from your post?

I would be glad if you could give me more help. Thank you

New data protection regulations have been introduced in the european union and germany since today.
For this reason, I would like to include a note on the use of cookies on my homepage.
For this I found a website at: https://cookieconsent.insites.com/download/, which provides a script.

<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="//cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/cookieconsent2/3.0.3/cookieconsent.min.css" />
<script src="//cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/cookieconsent2/3.0.3/cookieconsent.min.js"></script>
<script>
window.addEventListener("load", function(){
window.cookieconsent.initialise({
  "palette": {
    "popup": {
      "background": "#efefef",
      "text": "#404040"
    },
    "button": {
      "background": "#8ec760",
      "text": "#ffffff"
    }
  },
  "content": {
    "message": "Diese Website verwendet Cookies, um Ihnen eine optimale Nutzung der Website zu ermöglichen.",
    "dismiss": "OK",
    "link": "Datenschutzerklärung",
    "href": "https://www.rainerhassmann.de/DS-GVO/"
  }
})});
</script>

A note indicates:
"Add the code in the header of your website, just before the </ head> tag"

Who can tell me where to put this script in backlight.

Thanks

Thanks to Rod, Matthew and Daniel.
As an absolute beginner I'm a bit confused now.

Daniel Leu wrote:

Hallo Rainer, you might want to try to add

ul.image_metadata li {
    white-space: initial;
}

to your photoart.css file. Please note that this is only a workaround waiting for a better solution wink

Should I complete the CSS?

Daniel Leu wrote:

It seems to have something to do with the length of the image attribute:

<ul class="image_metadata">
	<li>Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur lorem i</li>
</ul>

47 characters are okay, 48 start to change the look. Adding many more characters increases the size of the thumbnails.

Where should I use the code?
Should I cut the image attributes?

Matthew wrote:

As bizarre as it seems, the solution is:

.main__column { min-width: 0; }

Setting the min-width explicitly allows the column to flex-shrink to less than its intrinsic width, which it will not do otherwise.

Where should I use the code?

What changes do I have to make now and where?

Here are the links:
correct album        https://www.rainerhassmann.de/galleries/prag/
incorrect album      https://www.rainerhassmann.de/galleries/Prag_incorrect/
In the album Prag_incorrect it is the last two images that cause an incorrect scaling. Scaling takes place gradually.
One Image = scaling step 1, two Images = scaling step 2, and so on.

Here are two additional links to the test albums in which only images are the cause of the problem.

After I changed all file names according to the convention, I filled the albums with images in steps of 5. I sorted out the images that led to an enlargement of the thumbnails. This was the case in the album Prag as well as in the album Venedig.
The faulty images I have uploaded to a test album Test Prag and Test Venedig. There, the phenomenon of thumbnails showed up again.
In the album Test Prag I marked the last image with 5 stars. If this image is removed, the thumbnails shrink but are still too big.
The sorted images went through the same workflow as everyone else. It is a mystery to me what causes the phenomenon. In earlier albums, the phenomenon has not appeared.

Some things to check:
You're using the latest version of Backlight and Publisher.

Another thing to try is in the Backlight > Publisher dashboard under Special Links. Click Update Album Files.

Yes, I have the latest version
Yes, I update album files
No access

I keep trying

I have tried different things.
So I created a new album (Venedig) with 108 images. Thumbnails was also shown correctly first. After I took out the images from the collection and uploaded new images, the thumbnails were again scaled wrong.
My assumption that it is the file format, has not been confirmed.

In another test, I first uploaded 10 images. Size OK.
Plus another 10 images uploaded. Size OK
Uploaded another 10 images. Thumbnail was enlarged.
As soon as more images were uploaded, the thumbnails were scaled more.
From 55 images, the thumbnails were so large that only one and a half columns are displayed in portrait format.
But in landscape mode it was OK

According to your suggestion, I created a new album (Venedig) with 10 images.

Hi Rod.
The first thing I did was clear the template cache. Unfortunately, without result.
Even renaming files did not help.
A complete exchange of thumbnails was not successful either.
I also deleted the whole album and uploaded it again. No success
But I noticed that the error only occurs in portrait mode.
The representation in landscape format is correct.

In case you would like a guest access to my backlight, I will send you the data by mail

On the mobile phone, the thumbnails in an album are displayed incorrectly (too big).
It's only one album like that, in all others the size is displayed correctly.
Deleting and re-uploading the album did not solve the problem.

Correct presentation: https://www.rainerhassmann.de/galleries/schottland/

Who knows the solution? Thank you in advance.

#36 Re: General » Faulty link » 2018-01-30 02:31:08

Hello Matthew, hello Ben.
Thank you for your help.
I have contacted my provider about the problem. An error in the IP address was detected and fixed immediately.
Now I am happy again. Thanks again

Who can help me?
After the latest update (v1.2.3 Release 4) I discovered a problem.
I do not know if the problem existed before.
My website is no longer displayed correctly under 'https://www.rainerhassmann.de' (PC, mobile, tablet).
The Firefox browser does not find the page: Page 404
Called via the URL 'https://rainerhassmann.de' the page can be reached and is displayed correctly.
In the backlight settings I have made a corresponding URL correction.
Unfortunately, however, the Item menu 'Blog' no longer finds the directory to wordpress.
The link still uses 'https://www.rainerhassmann.de'
Does anyone know where I can make a change? Or is there another solution?

Sorry about my google translator english :-)

Do all pages and album templates need to be recreated for the change from okapi to pangolin?
Is there no other way to transfer or clone the settings?

Many thanks

#41 Re: Backlight Support » Download has wrong resolution » 2017-03-08 01:12:01

I probably confused something. I thought I could disable the download with the right mouse button.
Now I understand the principle and everything works great. The image menu button I now switched off.

Many Thanks.

But the link to my site I still send gladly PhotoArt by RH

Hi
In the Album Settings > Large Image Presentation (Presentation Type Photoswipe) I have Image Sharing and Image download "no" selected.

In the Album Setting > Image Settings > Photos for Download I have "Create custom download rendition via Publisher" selected.
Then it will create photos in the desired resolution (640px to 640px). I find in directory "photos-for-download".

But the download has the higher resolution (1280px to 1280px) of the image displayed in the browser.

The download in IE and firefox is done via the context menu Save graphics.
But in IE there is showing a special button "image menu" with which the smaller resolution is downloaded.

Hello, excuse me, I am german and my english is not very good. I hope you understand me.
In Backlight I am an absolute beginner.
I have created a search page and would like to put the searchbox in the center.
How can I do this with CSS?

Is there a list of available selectors, e.g. ".copyright", for CSS?

I hope there is a solution to my question. Thank you.
