I installed Backlight 2, and now the website is down. I thought I did everything correctly. I did get an error when installing, and had to call GoDaddy to change my configuration because ZipArchive PHP (I think) wasn't allowed, but they did a change, and then the installation went correctly.
Now all I get is an HTTP500 error.
My web address is www.fastcarphotos.com
Thanks!
My current site contains the work of me and another photographer. Our current process is for him to email me his images, I add them to my Lightroom, then upload them to the appropriate gallery.
Is it possible for him to log in and upload his images directly to the gallery I created using Lightroom CC? That would eliminate the step of him sending them to me first. Or do I have to abandon the use of the Publisher from Lightroom CC, and create the gallery within Backlight 2?
i updated the Cart as mentioned.
With 7.2, I received the following message:
count(): Parameter must be an array or an object that implements Countable in SimpleHTMLTag.php on line 44
With 7.1, all is good.
Kurt
Thank you. I'll try it. I believed I have the latest, but I'll reload it and advise.
My site is hosted by GoDaddy, and using CPanel, they now state that PHP Version 7.2 is now available, and we should check for compatibility. My site apparently was using v5.4. I tested it with 7.2, and when attempting to view the site, I received an online message that the Shopping cart was disabled, and the entire site was greyed out.
I switched back to 5.4, and all is good.
What is the best version of PHP should we use with Backlight?
Here's the update: While shooting photos at the Rolex 24, using my phone as a hotspot, I was able to upload several hundred photos in a couple of different galleries and had absolutely no issues with Go Daddy. I did the same when I got back to a real wi-fi once I returned. Overall, I'd say it was a success. I was able to use a delay of 3.5 with no issues. I did try it with a delay of 3 seconds, and Go Daddy intervened just once.
Here's one of the galleries that I uploaded: http://www.fastcarphotos.com/galleries/ … t-daytona/
Thank you for figuring it out.
Kurt.
I just republished a directory with 65 images. It worked... no errors. The default delay made the process longer, but it wasn't interrupted. I'll be doing some major uploading next week, I'll experiment with shortening up the delay from the default and see what happens.
Will do!
Does this address the issues with GoDaddy issues? (I hope so). I noticed a new option for Delay API requests.
No, the opposite.
The TTG publisher in Publisher services is what I accidentally removed when I meant to remove the plug-in.
Ok,
Well, I restored the entire computer back to the last backup, so all the stuff I did over the weekend, I'll have to do it over. I guess it could have been much worse.
What I mistakenly did was remove the Publisher, not the plug-in, which is what I was supposed to be doing the in first place since I added the updated Backlight.
Thanks for all of your help.
I think I'll have to try to roll back. I currently have about 2000 photos on the site, and I think the FTP/Admin choice might turn into a nightmare. I'll have to try rolling it back via Time Machine first.
Thanks!
I think that if that isn't an option, I can revert my machine back to the last backup.
I show the TTG-Publisher, but none of the galleries that I created. I was wondering if I restored the Lightroom catalog from a previous version if they would appear.
Yes, I have. I did an API check and it connects.
I made a fatal mistake in Lightroom, and am now perched on the ledge ready to jump!
Like a complete moron, I mistakenly removed the TTG-Publisher from Lightroom. By the time I realized what I had done, it was too late. However, I religiously backup my Mac using Time machine.
Where, oh where would I find my galleries stored in my backups? Please tell me they are somewhere that I can restore them!!!
Thanks! I was curious, because it didn't re-prompt you to republish once you selected it and clicked on edit.
I was going to ask the very same question? I've looked for the "exclude watermarks..." option mentioned. Where did you find it? Is that an option in the cart which I haven't purchased or installed yet? I will need to do the same.
Disregard... I found it.
New Question: If I select that, do I have to republish all the albums? <I hope not...>

Thank you for your help.
I just did it.. and it's working. I stand corrected... (my mother used to always tell me I couldn't follow instructions...)
I'm pretty sure I did. I'll try again.
