Very much a Ben question, I am afraid. He's on vacation presently, but has been checking in at intervals. Hopefully he'll be along soon.
The Publisher plugin has changed very little, and we've not seen these problems locally. Please ensure you are using the most current version of the Publisher, downloaded from Backlight's Admin => Backlight Modules page. If problems persist, then you may need to reset Lightroom's preferences (unfortunately, a fairly standard troubleshooting step with Lr).
The short answer is yes. However, if you have purchase the Client Response Add-on for Backlight, then you should have received an email containing upgrade discount code for the Client Response Add-on for Backlight 2. If you did not receive that email, then please email me and I'll get it to you.
Get into the backlight/data/logs folder. The most recent log file will include the link, and you can use that link to reset the password.
Open the downloaded ZIP file, copy ONLY the folders:

Run the installer as usual. I've just done this myself in a test, and Backlight installed correctly without the top-level index.php or .htaccess files.
Do what Rod says. You should be just fine without the root-level .htaccess and index.php files, so long as you're not using Backlight to create pages.
Hi Ken,
I probably need to make this more clear in the interface. To use the striped colors, you need to apply the "table-striped" class to the table. For example:
<table class="table-striped">
<thead>
<tr>
<td>Column 01</td>
<td>Column 02</td>
<td>Column 03</td>
</tr>
</thead>
<tbody>
<tr>
<td>Col 01, Row 01</td>
<td>Col 02, Row 01</td>
<td>Col 03, Row 01</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>Col 01, Row 02</td>
<td>Col 02, Row 02</td>
<td>Col 03, Row 02</td>
</tr>
</tbody>
</table>
Hit Admin => Languages, and make sure that German is designated as the Default Language. This should cause the page to load with the appropriate language profile.
Please check Admin => Backlight Modules to ensure you're running the latest updates. PHPlugins should be working in WP Theme.
Thanks, Mark. Glad to hear you were able to find a solution. Strange issue, though. I guess there was something amiss with the Wordpress installation? This has been one the head-scratchier issues I've seen with Wordpress, and I think I'm still scratching my head as to what caused it in the first place.
PHPlugins should be working in themes with the latest updates. Check Admin => Backlight Modules to ensure you're on the latest.
If still not showing on the Home page, then what's different about the Home page, as compared to other pages that are working?
At present, the cart is not set up for selling multiple sizes of downloadable files.
Thanks, Tom! Glad to hear things are running well for you.
Like I said, perhaps send me your FTP details so that I can take a look? Backlight admin credentials might also be helpful.
In Backlight's admin, use Publisher to create a new album. Select a video-enabled template, and you will be able to set the Video ID by editing the album's settings. In this way, you should be able to create your video pages without using Lightroom.
Album Sets do not care the type of content they are listing, and expect to find a thumbnail in the designated place. The album set, being unaware whether or not the listed item is YouTube content, cannot get a thumbnail from YouTube.
Okay.. it was the .htaccess files that were the issue in ALL of my problems.. the problem is they do not show up as files in the mac OS so there is no way to know they are there.. the only way I could get them was to upload the entire install folder and drag them to where they needed to go...Thanks!
The install instructions and our demonstration video both advise that you should use an FTP client, configured to display hidden files, precisely to avoid these types of issues.
You can delete them from the backlight/modules folder. They would be the folders beginning "standard-", such as "standard-page", "standard-album", etc.
To update embedded galleries, you should Clear Template Cache. This should be sufficient, rather than deleting your template. Also, I good first thing to try any time you're troubleshooting changes.
If you're using the original "Okapi" modules, then you will need to install them from Admin => Backlight Modules.
If using the newer "Pangolin" modules -- which we would prefer -- then the migration should not require any extra steps. Can you please confirm which you've been using?
Looks to me like you're using a Pym iframe to embed a page within another page, so ... stop doing that. Maybe you've selected the wrong thing to embed? Or maybe you need to take a closer look at the iframe's source page. I reckon you should not be putting an entire page, with header, into that iframe.
Usually the root.
I meant that I loaded your theme into my own Wordpress installation, and it worked. Can't say for certain, but seems like something else might be a problem.
Don't know whether you got to click on my while I had your theme enabled, but the loop displayed without issue. As I was unable to reproduce the problem, I was unable to deduce anything about it. Might be useful to poke my head into your site via FTP?
I just tried the full-screen button on one of your galleries, and it works perfectly.
"Pallets" are the two optional columns. There's the main column; in the 2-column layout, then you have the main column + one pallet, etc.
